Here, we have a look at GANT Rugger’s Fall 2013 collection, one which delivers a lineup that’s a bit more casual but with even more attention given to the finest details, fabrics and finishes. Look for a toned-down color palette of muted winter weather classics with shades such as army melange, amarone red, camel and navy as well as the label’s new “winter pastels” which include dusty pink, light lemon and pale powder blue. Look for GANT Rugger classics like tailored blazers to now be available in an Alpaca mix. Fitted outerwear options like the brand’s Homerun baseball jacket, looks exceptional in grey wool herringbone and goat leather sleeves. New pieces for the season include a quilted blazer with a shawl collar and contrast piping, and our super casual cardigan blazer, worn on its own or with true sprezzatura style underneath another blazer.

Don’t overlook the accessories lineup as it includes shantung ties, selvage madras pocket squares, and organic leather goods with some new items including cozy Alpaca cashmere socks, and Italian made wool and silk scarves with hidden hamburger prints.

GANT Rugger has a tremendous lineup for the current F/W season, ranging from well-fitting blazers and shirting to impeccably-crafted outerwear and accessories. One of our favorite pieces from the current offerings is the Blogger Delight sweatshirt. Beyond the name, the sweatshirt’s actually be dope as well but that’s expected when you have Christopher Bastin at the helm. Well, we’re giving one away just in time for the holidays. GANT has finally opened the doors to its first West Coast store, as they look to call Venice their new home. The space is 1,700 square feet and was designed as a GANT Rugger neighbor shop so it has all the personal touches. To add to the appeal, local Venice Beach craftsman, Eric Gustafson, was commissioned to create several modern fixtures for the shop made from brass, wood, and inlaid tile. Additional fixtures include several 1950’s teak pieces and other mid century elements.

The trip west is long overdue in our opinion as Los Angeles has been a top market for GANT for quite sometime. The shop will carry GANT Rugger and GANT by Michael Bastian men’s and women’s collections. More looks at the shop below.

GANT Rugger has dropped a leather goods collection which consists of a few key pieces, all of which will be perfect as holiday gifts or personal acquisition. They’re produced by Tärnsjö Tannery, a small family owned company about two hours north of Stockholm, Sweden and one of the few remaining tanneries in Europe where the process is still 100% organic. The end result is of the highest quality possible and features leather that will age and wear beautifully. Every piece is handmade and shows Gant’s passion for quality, value for money and keeping the heritage alive. The collection delivers the goods in two colorways, natural undyed and cognac. The lineup includes a leather slip case, phone cover, card holder and belt.

To showcase their Holiday 2011 collection, GANT Rugger commissioned Noah Emrich of NOVH fame to shoot the lookbook. He brought on some of his close friends to sport the looks including photographer Justin Chung (you might remember him from The All-American Shoot), Nico Lazaro of The Bengal Stripe, Sean Hotchkiss of The GQ Eye and PH friend William Yan. Two ladies also got into the mix — Nicole Loher (above) and Julia Jacobson. Some of our favorite pieces include the salt and pepper crew neck sweater Nicole’s wearing as well as the Country Twill and Herringbone blazer, Tinkering Twill button down and Puffer Waistcoat.

Gant has launched their first in-house fragrance aptly called “GANT”. It’s inspired in part by the New England waters and coastal living lifestyle. Pierre Dinand designed the bottle and pulled inspiration from wicker baskets that cargo ships in the old days used to transport fragile goods. If that wasn’t enough, Gant also commissioned Pierre Wulff to craft this unique fragrance formula. He chose some exclusive ingredients and created a scent that pulls in the freshness and airy sense of the ocean and combined these characteristics with dark woods and tar ropes.

The film below highlights the relationship between the two gifted talents and how they worked together. This cooperation is pretty special in itself as many times this work is very separate. Here we have looks from Gant Rugger’s Spring 2012 collection. The collection is definitely one of the more wearable offerings from S/S 2012 and we’re talking across the board from outerwear and shirting to trousers to accessories. The color palette’s vast as well with shades of blue, yellow and red akin their way into the mix.

GANT Rugger’s dropped a line of sunglasses at a pretty affordable price tag. We had a chance to preview them last week at the Project Show in Vegas and have to say they’re really well made and come in some vibrant finishes. The shells are hand-made acetate and come in custom color combinations and are fitted with polarized lenses. At $125 a pop, you just can’t go wrong.
