Russian model and girlfriend of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, there’s very little that Irina Shayk can do without going unnoticed. The stunning beauty recently did a shoot for GQ which you can catch in the pages of their September issue. In the article, Irina talks about her upbringing in a Russian village that didn’t even have fashion mags and how much she hates futbol. She now lives in NYC, though we’ve yet to spot her. Hopefully, that will change soon enough as New York Fashion Week is not too far off.

Billy Reid was the winner of this year’s Best New Designer award from GQ, and with that came much praise as well as an opportunity to design a line for Levi’s. The result is some of the most well-thoughtout pieces we’ve seen from Billy as he gets serious and does things like infuse some iconic Levi’s design traits into a staple item he’s crafted for his own collection. Case in point, this oxford shirt. Yes, he’s got one in his own line for the fall but he takes it deeper by giving it indigo stitching and slapping on a Levi’s pocket.

When it hits select stores, look for the shirt to run you about $150, alongside other great pieces like an apron bag ($150) and a pair of extensively repaired 505 jeans ($178).

LeBron James returns to the crispy pages of GQ for some fall styling. It seems he’s stilling love Audemars, as he’s got another variety on his wrist. Other highlight pieces include his made-to-measure Ralph Lauren cashmere suit and his Tom Ford shirts and ties.

Levi’s, GQ and Bloomingdales continue to give us a backstage look at the Best New Menswear Designers in America project. If you haven’t checked out part I of the series, be sure to peep it here. Part II takes us to the official kick-off party during NYC Fashion Week, where each of the designers shares key looks from their Fall 2010 collection with invited guests in the media and other fashion luminaries. The video also features footage of the judges weighing their decision-making process—and ends with Billy Reid being named the winner.

For the third year in a row, Levi’s has teamed up with GQ Magazine and Bloomingdale’s to honor some of the brightest young talents in the fashion industry as part of the Best New Menswear Designers in America project. With that, six designers were selected by the editors of GQ to compete for a $50,000 cash prize and the opportunity to create a limited-edition collection designed in partnership with designers from the Levi’s brand. On February 12, 2010, designer Billy Reid was chosen as the winner and, since then, he has been working in conjunction with the Levi’s design team on this highly anticipated line, which will debut at several Bloomingdale’s locations this fall.

The good folks developed a series of behind-the-scenes documentary videos to give us some much-welcomed insights. Part one of the series goes back to the start, giving an inside glimpse into the early stages of the program, where each of the 6 nominated designers comes face-to-face with the judging panel. In this crucial meeting, each designer presents pieces from their forthcoming Fall 2010 collections, while also explaining their aesthetic and design process. Look for more footage to drop in the coming months leading up to the launch of the Billy Reid x Levi’s collection this fall.

Billy Reid has been named the winner of GQ and CFDA’s Best New American Menswear Designer Award for 2010. With this win comes $50,000 and the opportunity to craft a limited edition Levi’s collection for Bloomingdale’s. The Louisiana-bred designer beat out five other hopefuls — Richard Chai, Frank Muytjens for J.Crew, Caulfield Preparatory by Vincent Flumiani, Unis by Eunice Lee, and Burkman Brothers by Doug and Ben Burkman.
