Rihanna for GQ January 2010 Issue

Rihanna shows skin for GQ’s January issue. Nice way to start the new year, amiright? The good girl’s definitely gone badass and with a new album, a new willingness to speak about Chris Brown and a new look, we suggest you hit the jump and see what all the “hoopla” is about. In the issue, Lisa DePaulo sits down with Pop’s reigning princess to talk about all of that good stuff and to dig a bit deeper, asking questions she hasn’t answered anywhere else.

Now Available: GQ iPhone App

Now Available: GQ iPhone App

The whole world’s gone digital but I’ve never stopped subscribing to GQ Magazine. Why? Not sure, actually. Maybe because it’s iconic, or the fact that it’s always up-to-date even when guys like us are reporting on a daily basis. And yes, the ads. I still love checking out Tom Ford’s new campaigns in between an article about the next must-have blazer and the new It girl. It’s a good supplement. Especially, for a train ride or something.

Well, Conde Nast is no fool. With the mobile market on the rise, they will be launching issues through the App Store, at $2.99 per issue compared to the 4 or 5 bucks you might pay at the newsstand. It’s got all the pages, all the ads plus in page links to the items your drooling over. It’s robust and while I don’t see myself stopping my subscription, I will surely pick this up for more discreet and convenient viewing in the office or during my trips.

The first issue is in the App Store now, December 2009 – The Men of the Year Issue. That spread we turned you to of Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester is in this issue. Reason enough, I think.

Update – GQ’s informed us that once the content has downloaded, it’s available for offline viewing. Perfect for the frequent travelers out there.

Buy It: $2.99 at App Store (iTunes Link)

The Obsession: Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester

The Obsession: Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl, that show on CW that all the girls are dangerously obsessed with, is one rare beauty. We weren’t familiar with her before GQ gave her some headlines, but we really wish we were. The 23-year old plays the decadent heiress Blair Waldorf in the show, but not that you care about that. She’s got the hots for Ray Liotta all because of Goodfellas, which kicks her sexy level up a few notches, as that movie should be in every man’s list of all-time classics.

If you want to read more, head to GQ. If you want to see more shots from the spread, hit the jump.

The Obsession: Wool Ties [GQ]

The Obsession: Wool Ties [GQ]

The winter season really brings out some great pieces. GQ highlights our favorite — wool ties. We prefer to keep them slim and heavy, and in an array of designs. Bergdorf Goodman’s Men’s Department has a large selection this year with “tables upon tables full of the season’s best”. Highlighted labels include Alexander Olch, Joel McHale and Thom Browne.
