New York Magazine has an interesting read covering the rise of international retailer Opening Ceremony and its founders, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. In the article, the duo tells us how they quit their day jobs and opened up shop at 35 Howard Street, a block which was quite reserved back in 2001. Nearly a decade later, Opening Ceremony has expanded rapidly (or to them, right on schedule) with outposts in Los Angeles and Tokyo as well.
