Apple has released iTunes 10.5.1 which brings along a few minor fixes but also gives users access to iTunes Match, a feature in iTunes that users can subscribe to for $24.99 annually. It’s listed as a beta feature, and beta subscribers are warned that their iCloud libraries will be deleted at the end of the beta. To thank beta testers for their participation, Apple is offering them an additional three months on their subscription.

We all use iTunes now and some media devices are really stepping up their game as far as functionality and usability are concerned. That’s lead to people ditching their iPod or iPhone and picking up something like a Blackberry. Suckers. Nonetheless, iTunes is still the go-to application for digital media viewing/sharing.

iPhone users can rejoice because there’s something for us at MacWorld this year. Apple’s announced that you will now be able to preview and download iTunes tracks right from your iPhone over 3G or EDGE.
