Apple has released iTunes 10.5.1 which brings along a few minor fixes but also gives users access to iTunes Match, a feature in iTunes that users can subscribe to for $24.99 annually. It’s listed as a beta feature, and beta subscribers are warned that their iCloud libraries will be deleted at the end of the beta. To thank beta testers for their participation, Apple is offering them an additional three months on their subscription.
Sirius/XM has finally come to the iPhone, giving you access to more than 120 channels, anytime and anywhere you want. You can listen to the songs from the app or you can even click a song to buy it straight from iTunes. It comes with a 7 day trial so you can test the airwaves. After that, the service will cost you $3 a month.
Apple’s App Store has just hit a whopping one billion downloads. No other mobile application store can claim such success. Impressive, to say the least.

Apple’s unveiled the new iPod Shuffle — half the size of its predecessor but boy does it pack a punch. The 4GB iPod Shuffle features VoiceOver technology, which enables the Shuffle to speak your song titles, artists and playlist names. There’s no screen, as the new kid on the block is wrapped in a new aluminum case in silver or black. Plus, it’s got a built-in stainless steel clip for maximum wearability.

We all use iTunes now and some media devices are really stepping up their game as far as functionality and usability are concerned. That’s lead to people ditching their iPod or iPhone and picking up something like a Blackberry. Suckers. Nonetheless, iTunes is still the go-to application for digital media viewing/sharing.

There are over a dozen photography apps for the iPhone in the App Store but this is by far the easiest to use and most efficient. Apple’s announced that you will now be able to preview and download iTunes tracks right from your iPhone over 3G or EDGE.
