With the PROJECT Tradeshow in full swing here in Las Vegas, we’ve seen plenty of great product that you may have seen highlighted on the go via our various social media outlets such as Instagram. Hong Kong’s 11After11 has a baseball jacket coming that’s fitted with an aztec pattern that we really dig. The jacket features a wool shell with the pattern in black & white while the sleeves come in an off-white leather that blends in effortlessly. Look for this piece to be available in the months ahead.
From Montreal-based Raised by Wolves comes their Lunar Cycle Varsity Jacket for F/W ’12. Every year, it seems there’s always one standout varsity that catches everyone’s attention and we think this is 2012′s equivalent to GANT Rugger’s Homerun Jacket of 2010. The subtle and well-thought-out details on this one make it a must-have piece because we’re just not sure we’ll see one like it for quite sometime. It’s made in the good ol’ US of A by Ebbets Field Flannels and features felt appliqué patches and letterings. The melton wool body sits well with the leather sleeves while the interior of the body is Ripstop NyCo MultiCam lined.
S.E.H Kelly has introduced their first-ever reversible jacket that features a wool shell sourced from a mill in West Yorkshire, and real horn buttons from the Midlands. See this as two four-button jackets made with complementary shades of wool-tweed that’s dry and warming. Both sides have a small rounded collar. The jacket’s lighter side has light horn buttons; the other side has dark ones. The jacket delivers on all fronts and also features hidden, in-seam slouch pockets that deliver added coverage for your hands.
We’ve already covered one varsity jacket from Thom Browne for the upcoming fall season but the New York designer’s unveiled another that’s just as enticing. The midnight blue shell cotton shell is fitted with grey textured leather sleeves and trimmings as well as Mr. Browne’s signature red, white and navy stripes at collar, cuffs and hem. Classic detailing such as gold press-stud buttons, welt pockets and eyelet air vents at arm pits seal the deal. Look for the signature logo tab at back collar on this American-made piece as well.
Here’s an exceptional outerwear option for this winter from French brand Hixsept. It features a rich honey shadded waxed cotton shell and has some limited edition Liberty fabric at the hood. When the rain hits or snow falls, this waxed cotton body will surely protect and the color choice here is great and will only get better with age. The fine details really stand out as well like the contrasting navy corduroy collar and button tab, detachable hood and adjustable drawstring at the waist.
Here’s another solid offering from Golden Bear, this time in the form of their Seaside Jacket. It’s made in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill and features a 100% cotton corduroy shell and features leather trimmings throughout. The ribbed cuffs, collar and bottom give way for added insulation and look great in the contrasting mustard yellow.
The latest varsity jacket to hit the market comes from Japanese brand A Bathing Ape and Brooklyn-based Ebbets Field Flannels. Ebbets has been dropping some really authentic pieces over the years, most notable for their wool caps that are now sold at several legit retailers. This item doesn’t steer away from the brand’s vision as it’s got all the proper detailings of an authentic varsity jacket. The navy/red/cream colorway looks phenomenal as does the bold crest that’s featured on the back.
Another collaborative effort between Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen and Ronnie Fieg, this chocolate and tweed baseball jacket is the second from the duo. The details are immense yet minimalistic, with premium cotton fabric shell and tweed sleeves, as well as stuffed quilted lining for added warmth. The jacket is limited to 42 pieces and will be available at Kithnyc.com today (Friday) at 11am EST.

We’ve always been fans of Alpha Industries and military-worn outerwear. the N-3B is one of our favorite parkas on the market and this collaborative effort with uniform experiment adds some minute details to a classic jacket. Beyond the ribbed cuffs, everything has stayed the same as the co-branded parka looks to preserve as much of the authentic design and construction as possible. This N-3B will drop on October 29th through select uniform experiment retailers.
