Here’s episode two of VOYR’s series which gives us a behind the scenes look at Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne tour. This time, Kanye leads the way as he takes a trip down memory lane, visiting his old neigbhorhood and highlighting a few memories in the process.
We’d like to think that Jay-Z’s had one heck of a 2011. He launched a digital magazine, launched a collaborative effort that’s unmatched by any hip-hop duo from the last twenty years if not ever and is now about to be a father with Beyonce by his side. He’s been crowned King and is one of 2011′s GQ Men of the Year. Now, he sits down with GQ’s Alex Pappademas to talk about Kanye, Basquiat, and fitting the car seat in the Maybach.

News of Jay-Z releasing The Blueprint in a limited edition, numbered vinyl set to mark the album’s 10th anniversary broke early last week. I was so busy grabbing one for myself that I didn’t even think to turn you all to it. “My bad” on this one. Fear not, it’s still in stock on Jay’s online store on Live Nation. Each one is individually numbered and limited to 2001 sets.
The music video for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Otis just premiered on MTV and you can check it out below in case you haven’t peeped it. Watch The Throne is an epic album and this is one heck of a video. Directed by Spike Jonze. Just one thing — What the heck is Aziz Ansari doing? Comedic relief FTW!

Hov and Ye have dropped another single from their highly anticipated album, Watch the Throne. Paying homage to the great Otis Redding, Jay-Z & Kanye West drop bars back and forth over a sample of the legend’s 1966 class, “Try a Little Tenderness.” Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci offers the artwork for “Otis” and as you may recall, he’s also the man that designed the cover for WTT. Watch the Throne drops August 1, 2011 and can be pre-order at www.watchthethrone.com.

While there was much speculation about the release date of Watch the Throne, the highly anticipated collaborative studio album between artists Jay-Z and Kanye West, it appears as though fans may have to wait a little longer to actually get their hands on it. How do you trump being one of the greatest hip-hop artists and visionaries of our time? Hov would know as he just launched a digital magazine called, “Life + Times”. Adding Executive Editor to his resume, Jay-Z has delivered a site that embodies his taste in fashion, art, music, sports and technology.
There are already some notable editors cooking up the content including GIANT Mag alum Shahendra Ohneswere and Hodinkee Founder Benjamin Clymer. Still not sure what Life + Times entails? Peep the intro video below.
