The Autumn 2010 collection for John Varvatos is what we’ve come to expect from the New York-based designer. GQ Eye tells it best, “Something for the rock gent in all of us. Fingerless gloves? Check. Feathery-thin Steven Tyler scarves? Of course! Dark skinny suits and vests? Got ‘em. Oversize chunky cardigans? Okay, not so rock, but got them, too. In other words, Varvatos doing Varvatos—which is what he does best.”

The fellas over at Selectism turn us to some mighty fine timepieces by Ernst Benz, made specially for John Varvatos. Priced at $6800, these chronoscopes are definitely worth the pricetag. “Each watch is based on vintage timepieces discovered by Varvatos. Strapping wise, you have the option to choose between crocodile or bison to finish off the simple black or grey faces. These watches are exclusive to the John Varvatos Store in New York City.”
John Varvatos tells Details about 10 things he just can’t do without. Since he’s been collaborating with Converse for quite some time now, it’s no surprise that a pair of Chucks is on the list. His essentials have quite of a retro feel, something we expect from the vintage-loving Varvatos.
