Though we’re thinking, the majority of you guys have caught the Kanye West’s “Power” music vid, here’s the Director’s Cut. For anyone not familiar, the music video for “Power” is more like a work of art than anything else. A continuous camera zooms out from Kanye only to reveal a neoclassical video showing characters and creatures surrounding him in an abstract environment. Their movement is slow and deliberate, with inspiration pulled from Michaelangelo’s frescos in the Sistine Chapel.

Kanye West’s set to release a photo book with the help of Rizzoli International, highlighting last year’s infamous Glow in the Dark Tour. From the shots, it looks like all Mr. West fans should definitely grab a copy.  It’s 288 wonderful pages with gatefolds / 9⅝” x 13” / 400 photographs /CD with unreleased music and interview. The book also features an interview with tour collaborator Spike Jonze. Pricing’s set at $50, with a deluxe version being offered exclusively through Rizzoli for $225.

From what was originally the video for Kanye West‘s ‘See You in my Nightmares,’ comes a 14-minute short film starring the prolific rapper and directed by legendary Spike Jonze. It debuted at the Los Angeles Film Festival a few months back but you can grab a copy when it hits iTunes September 8th.

Oh, and skateboarder/amazing blogger Ferrari Murakami’s in it as well. All the more reason to check it out.

I LVOE LV has informed us of the pricing for the Kanye x LV sneakers. There are three models in Kanye West’s Men’s Sneaker Collection, they’re the Don’s (presumably named after Kanye West himself, or after his manager Don C), Jasper’s (named after Kanye’s barber), and Mr. Hudson’s (named after the GOOD Music artist and 808 collaborator of the same name). On February 13 at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, the taping for Kanye West’s ‘Storytellers’ episode for VH1 took place and boy was it a long one. After 3 hours of music and a therapy session where Kanye talked and the audience listened, the taping was sent to the editing room. They cut the total taping down to 90 minutes, leaving out some very interesting comments by the self-proclaimed greatest. (more…)
