What we love: Audi R8 V10

Audi’s already had great success with the Audi R8. If the power from its V8 wasn’t enough, they walked over to the Lamborghini plant and grabbed the Gallardo’s 5.2L V10.  The result: A car that deserves to be called a supercar. It’s set to push 525 horses and 390.91 lb-ft of torque.

With a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds and top speed of 196 mph, we’re just hoping this baby lands stateside. Unfortunately, Audi’s only told us that Germany will get the beauty in January at $180,000.

Crib has hidden garage filled with Lamborghinis

Amazing what money can buy these days.  We’re not talking about the exotic cars in the video.  As much as we love to see a bunch of Lamborghinis in such close proximity, we have to say that having a raising garage is something else.  “Hey look, I have two Lamborghini Countachs! Wait, just kidding, I have two Diablos, too! Oh, you didn’t see my Ferrari?  Look closer!”

Kudos to the ridiculously rich bloke with this.  We’re more impressed with the car collection than the hidden garage.

Italian State Police’s not-so secret weapon: Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia

Prefect Antonio Manganelli, head of the Italian State Police, has about one of the most desirable perks just about every man (or woman probably) dreams of.  Since Italy is home to the Fighting Bull, Lamborghini decided to donate a police version of its latest Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia to Manganelli.

The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia replaces the current Gallardo Police Car which has clocked in close to 87,000 miles of patrol duty.  It’s packing 560 horses so don’t even think about running from this cop car.

It’s got of extras like a “Proof Video Data System” that does more than your ordinary video camera.  With the help of GPS data, the device can calculate the location, direction of movement and speed of the Lamborghini. This combined with the distance and time before intercept, accurately determines the speed of the vehicle being pursued.

Leaked images: Lamborghini Estoque Concept

No, it’s not going to be named Urus as the early speculation suggested.  Instead, Lamborghini’s new four-door coupe will be named the “Estoque.”  Those teaser images just don’t do it justice, and with the full images being out, we’re really glad to see the “new world” that Lamborghini’s introducing us to.

The Estoque concept measures 5.15 meters long and carries the familiar sharp edged Lamborghini design with large intakes, however, the headlamps and tail lamps take a different approach.

Check out the images below and look for the officially unveiling by Lamborghini at the Paris Auto Show this week.

Another F’in teaser image of Lamborghini Urus being unveiled in Paris

The guys over at Lamborghini are really wearing this out.  The first teaser had us at the edge of our seats and the second one had us drooling a little.  But this third teaser is just too much, no?  If you’re going to do all that, you might as well release official pics of the whole damn car.

We’re not saying that we’re going to let you guys know if another teaser image were to come out, but just know that we aren’t going to be happy doing it. For anyone that hasn’t seen the first two, check out the trio of pics below.

Amnesia be-gone:  The Urus will be a front-engine sedan built on a four-wheel drive architecture. Power could come from a smaller Audi-supplied direct-injection, twin-turbocharged engine than Lamborghini’s already smallest 5.0L V10. It’s being built to compete with Aston Martin’s Rapide and Porsche’s Panamera.

Four-door coupe named “Urus” being unveiled by Lamborghini at Paris Auto Show

It’s definitely a whole new world for Lamborghini.  They released two different teasers in the past week or so and now they’ve come out with it.  Automotive News Europe’s learned that the company will be unveiling a four-door coupe to rival Porsche’s Panamera and Aston Martin’s Rapide.

Sources said that the third model in the Lamborghini lineup will be a front-engine sedan built on a four-wheel drive architecture. Power could come from a smaller Audi-supplied direct-injection, twin-turbocharged engine than Lamborghini’s already smallest 5.0L V10.

It’s being named “Urus,” a Latin word with Germanic origins used to describe a very large type of cattle prevalent in Europe until their extinction in 1627.  That’s pretty interesting considering Lamborghini’s German-owned now.

No word on when we’ll see the big cow hit the production line, but they’ll be producing 3,000 annually, which is less than the 20,000 Panameras we’ll be seeing.  Aston Martin’s hoping to produce 3,000 Rapides annually as well.

Second Teaser released for new Lamborghini being unveiled in Paris

Another teaser image has been released by Lamborghini earlier about the new car they’re set to release in two weeks at the 2008 Paris Auto Show.  Does this help you make a decision on what the car could be?  This image had the same press release attached to it as the first one.  It read “It’s not just a new Lamborghini.  It’s a new world.”
