With PROJECT and Nick Wooster reconnecting next week for the second season of PROJECT Wooster in Las Vegas, we’ve got a preview video highlighting the collaborative effort and seeing what direction Mr. Wooster is going to take the initiative this time around. Nick and PROJECT president Andrew Pollard took a trip to Japan to see how American heritage is being perceived there. Look for this to be the focus of this season’s PROJECT Wooster with brands like Visvim, Monitaly, Kapital, Nepenthes, United Arrows, and a few others on display. “Regardless of what you’ve seen in Florence, Milan, Paris, or New York, there will be some surprises. And I’m excited for several new collaborations with brands that I really respect.”

Marcus Troy caught up with Nick Wooster at PROJECT in Las Vegas last week to get his thoughts on PROJECT Wooster, an installation inside the show that highlighted some of Nick’s favorite brands for the Spring 2012 season. The video below was shot exclusively for GQ Eye and highlights some of the brands on display like Dita, Barker Black, Boglioli and others.

Burberry‘s been steadily expanding their international reach, but this time, they’ve gone through some much-welcomed renovations at one of their U.S. shops. Their Las Vegas store in Nevada has reopened and the 26,000 sq. ft. space is back in full force. The store reflects Burberry store design concept developed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey. They’re staying close to their origin as British materials and themes are used throughout with a 3×3 video wall, touch screen monitors, and a VIP lounge and fitting area.

Luxury luggage designer Globe-Trotter presented their 2009 collection at the Las Vegas tradeshows with a masterful line of bags and suitcases. The brand’s also celebrating it 110th anniversary this year, which Globe-Trotter calls “the single most important development in the brands illustrious history”.

SFMOMA Architecture + Design Forum’s newly commissioned design project, appropriately entitled Diaspora, accurately depicts Sin City in its most purest form. Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Michael Cunningham and dynamic graphic designer Martin Venezky teamed up for the double deck of artfully designed playing cards. (more…)
