Burberry has broke the news that their upcoming S/S ’14 Menswear Runway Show will be shifting from Milan to London. The menswear collection will be shown as part of London Collections: Men. Here’s what Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer, had to say:
London is the creative heart of Burberry and our global headquarters, so we are incredibly excited to be showing our next men’s collection here. The country’s proud menswear heritage and outstanding contemporary talent give it a unique and powerful energy. It is a wonderful time to be bringing our menswear show home.
Burberry’s Menswear show will hit the runway in London on June 18, 2013.

MAN brings together student designers to create a unified brand image while bringing together varying skills and specialties. Featured this time around are designers Astrid Anderson, duo Agi & Sam, and Craig Green. The looks are skewing towards sportswear with blending of luxurious fabrics and modern silhouettes.

Another presentation from London Collections: Men is Hentsch Man and their Fall 2013 offerings. The vibe for next fall looks to be a welcomed mix of laid-back California living and the chic tailored flair of European suiting. The result is relaxed suiting with single color geometric prints and monochrome block patterns. Also in the mix are a wide of complimentary items such as tees, knitwear, and double-breasted blazers.

British menswear label Lou Dalton opened the London Collections: Men shows with a well-designed range that’s balanced between workwear and fine tailoring in some of classic winter shells. Included in the mix were staple items such as Double-breasted coats in Raw Shetland wools, with welcomed details such as contrasted back panels and pocket flaps. With the Northern Isles of Scotland being the root of inspiration for Lou Dalton’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection, it’s no surprise the offerings also featured red tartan and large-scale green and navy plaid finishings. Some workwear-centric pieces included all-in-one jumpsuits, woolen gilets with technical fabrics and oilskins.

FGF Industry, the folks that own C.P. Company, have opened their first flagship store. The store stocks C.P. as well as Blauer USA, another brand it owns. It’s located in London’s Soho neighborhood and spans across two floors and 185 square meters. C.P. Company‘s goods are housed on the ground floor, with the overall conception of the space being created from two existing Victorian shops.

Stone Island has opened a new location for their London flagship store, moving to 79 Brewer Street, at the crossroads of Soho, Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street. The products are offered in small quantities with a high level of detail and attention and offered up at a competitive price. The aesthetics are simple yet refined and are primarily based on traditional American sports and workwear but with a contemporary twist.
