As Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen continues to hit retail shelves for S/S ’13, the designer has taken the liberty of putting together some looks on location in his hometown of Los Angeles, highlighting different themes within the collection. And that’s one thing we’ve always appreciated about Shades of Grey – the brand’s ability to deliver a cohesive, yet versatile product lineup consistently season over season. For the current season, you’ll see the “Expect the Unexpected” image set shed light on the collection’s rich mix of patterns, layering options and bring spring colors that inspired the collection — tie dyes, ikats, bandana prints, tees under suits and more.

Here we have a look at Tres Bien’s Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook. The retailer’s known to pick all the right brands and is able to effortlessly deliver a solid blend of product that’s wearable and perfect for the current season. Photographer Linus Morales was behind the lens for this shoot and featured a mix of styles for both men and women. Labels include Acne, Marni, Kolor, Maison Martin Margiela, Lanvin and many others.

Frank Ocean caught the interest of Band of Outsiders founder and creative director Scott Sternberg, so much so that the label commissioned the R&B artist to showcase their Spring 2013 collection. The Polaroid-style lookbook is on par with delivery of lookbooks from past seasons but the tux Frank wears is exceptional and everything we’ve come to expect from Band of Outsiders. Mr. Sternberg was behind the lens as they shot the lookbook oustide the Los Angeles Times Building.

This is in fact the first batch of photos from the lookbook featuring Frank in a Band of Outsiders peak lapel tux in the SoCal sun. Expect the rest of the lookbook to be released throughout the rest of the week via their Tumblr and Instagram accounts.

Here, we have a look at GANT Rugger’s Fall 2013 collection, one which delivers a lineup that’s a bit more casual but with even more attention given to the finest details, fabrics and finishes. Look for a toned-down color palette of muted winter weather classics with shades such as army melange, amarone red, camel and navy as well as the label’s new “winter pastels” which include dusty pink, light lemon and pale powder blue. Look for GANT Rugger classics like tailored blazers to now be available in an Alpaca mix. Fitted outerwear options like the brand’s Homerun baseball jacket, looks exceptional in grey wool herringbone and goat leather sleeves. New pieces for the season include a quilted blazer with a shawl collar and contrast piping, and our super casual cardigan blazer, worn on its own or with true sprezzatura style underneath another blazer.

Don’t overlook the accessories lineup as it includes shantung ties, selvage madras pocket squares, and organic leather goods with some new items including cozy Alpaca cashmere socks, and Italian made wool and silk scarves with hidden hamburger prints.

MR PORTER recently commissioned Harlem-bred rapper A$AP Rocky for their latest photo shoot. The platinum-selling hip-hop artist reveals more than ever from his early years to losing his father this past Christmas. Stylistically, Rocky effortlessly sports high fashion brands such as Givenchy, Margiela, Valentino, Jil Sander and raps about them from time-to-time as well. CREEP by Hiroshi Awai enters its tenth season with a collection that’s as memorable as the ones before it. There’s a strong outdoorsy appeal to the collection that’s mixed up with fine details and high-quality fabric choices. Amongst the offerings is a Tweed Country Jacket which features patchwork detailing throughout as well as a MA1 Type down shirt that comes in an olive green finish. The trousers deliver comfort and fit with the pieces ranging from a fleece sweatpant to pleated cord pants. Midweight outerwear is strong in Mr. Awai’s latest collection as well, with highlights including a wool blend anorak, heather sweatshirt with royal blue chest and a polar fleece zip-up jumper.

Introducing Vietto, a New York-based outerwear label that looks to deliver top-notch, military-inspired product. The focus is on a refined take on classic military outerwear with infusion of hefty wool coating, laser cut horn buttons, and Vilene interfacing. Look for a hearty silhouette, staunch fabrications, and subdued color palette. What really caught our eyes about Vietto is that their pieces can appeal to both the young and old and doesn’t restrict itself to one consumer type or region. These pieces are versatile and can be applied over suiting and brogues or a denim jacket and boots.

We’re expecting Vietto to be available through fine retailers this coming fall.
