Tennessee-based Colonel Littleton has been crafting American-made accessories for quite sometime and the No. 3 Grip travel bag gives us Garry Littleton’s depiction of Americana. The bag measures 21″ in length so it’s not too large and not too small plus the straps on the back are there to secure your umbrella. The Colonel’s signature brown native American steer hide is dry milled, making the bag soft and supple. They’ve retained natural hide markings to add to the character of the bag so expect this piece to get better with age. One of the defining qualities about Colonel Littleton is that they allow each of their pieces to be personalized. This is no different with the No. 3 Grip as you can have up to 3 initials placed on the brass oval plate.

New York Times’ T Magazine highlights some of our favorite American labels in an editorial entitled, “Style Made in America”. This editorial might as well be called, “Holiday Gifts for Por Homme”, just a thought. Pieces include Gitman Vintage ties, Cole, Rood & Haan bags, and a Penfield vest made in collaboration with Japanese label Edifice. The American menswear movement has long been recognized by us and I’m sure most of you but we never get tired of seeing all-American labels make headlines.

From American brand Kenton Sorenson comes this dopp kitt, just in time for the holidays. Hand made at Sorenson’s Wisconsin factory, this dopp kit is crafted of natural leather that will develop an amazing deep golden brown color with regular use. The kit has a simple leather wrap around tie closure that can be used to keep the kit open while in use. The functionality gets us as much as the aesthetics, as it’s got plenty of space for all your grooming products and then some. It’s in limited production though so you might want to grab it with some urgency.

Meet Pierrepont Hicks, the Minneapolis-based neckwear company that recently launched its debut collection. Married entrepreneurs Mac and Kat launched the label with guys like us in mind. Mac does the numbers, Kat handles the design (and frequently will ask his opinion; sometimes she even agrees with it). With experience in fashion and publishing in New York for over ten years, Kat spent time at Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Gourmet and Elle magazines. The duo searches the globe to find the best textiles. The pieces are produced in New York City’s Garment District and Mac and Kat have ensured us that Pierrepont Hicks will always be American-made.
PH has mated top quality fabrics with color combos that make a statement. The ties are produced in a series of three styles: The Classic Necktie, a Two-Tone variation along with the Reversible Bowtie. For the Fall/Winter season, Pierrepont Hicks offers the Mackers, Giles and Field series, each bringing a distinct style to the Pierrepont Hicks brand. The Fergus (silk/wool blend) and Twigg (100% cashmere) series are yet to be unveiled but you can catch a sneak peek of the designs after the jump.
By continuing to create beautiful and innovative designs, we see nothing but great things to come for Pierrepont Hicks. (more…)

Maine-based shoemaker Quoddy has hit the century, and although no celebration plans have yet been made, they have plenty of justification. Their handmade style has gotten much praise as of late, so much so that they revenue has increased 100 percent year over year. They’ve also picked up some notable retail accounts, including Seattle-based Blackbird and New York’s Leffot.
The Masleet Oxford shown above is really something else. The Horween Navy Chromexcel leather is mated with a red brick sole, making for one fine shoe. It’s 100% hand sewn, and like all Quoddy products, it takes up to eight weeks to finish. Time well spent, for sure. Look for this pair and other Quoddy shoes to hit Leffot in the near future.

American-made, these deck boots from Quoddy are the perfect pair for the season. The Horween Chromexcel water-resistant leather body is mated with a deerskin tongue, glove leather lining and grippy camp sole. Quoddy’s classic deck shoes are comfortable beyond belief, and this high boot variation will bring the added protection from the fall’s varying and often-wet weather. Blackbird also adds, “With a traditional moccasin construction up front, heavy triple stitched seaming at the waist, thick 63″ leather laces, lacquered eyelets, and heavy duty tabs to pull them on with, they’ll look the part with any style this season.”

Winn Perry, Portland’s finest boutique has just gotten these chambray scarves by The Hill-side. Utilizing the same Japanese chambray fabric as their ties and handkerchiefs, the scarves seem to be a logical extension of the young label’s collection and for the old wardrobe too. Like their other products, these scarves were also constructed in New York City. They’re available in an indigo, black and red variety.

Red Wing is an American icon and their classic dress moc is another fortifying reason. The featherstone high shine leather moc-toe work boot comes in a chestnut finish with white contrast stitch, Roccia rubber grip sole and Goodyear Welt construction. With a design inspired by Red Wing founder, Charles Beckman’s own style preferences, these polishable boots are made to pull double duty – tough enough for the workplace during the day, but grown up and sharp when they’re shined up properly. Red Wing says it best when they say, “These boots are built to impress.” As with all Red Wing products, these beauties are Made in the USA.
