Selectism turns us to Makr’s latest creation — a tool roll bag made collaboratively with the folks at Deus. The Florida-based brand individually crafted 50 units, each produced using #10 cotton duck Martexin waxed canvas and premium Horween leather. It’s well-made and looks be quite sturdy with 7 spanner pockets, 7 socket pockets, 2 utility pouches for drivers and the stash. More info can be found through Deus.
Makr Carry Goods has crafted another fine piece, this time turning their focus on the iPhone. This leather sleeve is really well crafted though that was expected from the Florida-based brand, but we can’t help but to be amazed by the detail of this Horween leather shell. The skived and rolled edges are pristine while the sleeve is hand sewn, painted and polished with the utmost care.
This time of the year is always pretty dry in terms of breaking news but we stumbled across this lookbook from the Revolver shop out in San Francisco. It highlights some of the goods in their Fall 2011 collection, shedding light on a solid lineup of brands, most of them being very new to the industry. Included in the mix are Metsa, Yuketen, Baron Wells, Makr, Tellason and a few others. (via the189)
From Makr Carry Goods comes a new line of white canvas bags in some really timeless designs. The Round Backpack, Zip Carryall, Button Tote and Pocket Satchel are all available now in a canvas finish and feature Horween Latigo leather accents throughout.
For their fourth issue, Inventory Magazine visited several international destinations from Tokyo to Pennsylvania to Milan to New Mexico. The focus is still on highlighting ordinary people doing remarkable things. The latest offerings include Woolrich Woolen Mills, Makr Carry Goods, Rolex and John Smedley.
Makr delivers the goods once again with their line of iPad cases. Available in a few different finishes, the case is built on the ideas and patterning of their flap wallet but with a hidden cordovan closure instead of the horizontal keeper. To eliminate any screen cracking pressure, the design team did away with button closures and such, and leaving behind only a cordovan tab. Makr’s iPad Case comes in three varieties — black charcoal, mahogany and bark.
Pre-order now and look for these to start shipping out as early as September.

From Makr comes their Farm Ruck Sack, made of black heavy cotton duck and undyed leather. The carrier is fitted with unique exterior closures, multiple pockets and leather washers/reinforcements. The heavy cotton webbing and padded shoulder straps add to the durability without taking anything away from the visual appeal.
As Baxter of California celebrates its 45th anniversary, the premium men’s grooming line has been busy as of late. First, J.P. Mastey & Co. opened the doors to the company’s first Barber & Shop in Los Angeles. Now, they’ve unveiled this new limited edition razor blade made in collaboration with American Blade manufacture Hart Steel. The blade dons a 14k gold inlay “45” on the spine of the blackened steel blade, signifying the 45 years of history. In addition, the brand collaborated with leather company Makr Carry Goods to produce a custom leather (Horween Chromexcel Horse Work Butts) sleeve for the blade.
The blade retails for $345 and will be available at Baxter Finley Barber & Shop and online at Baxter later this month.
