Pinapple Express is a bromance flick at its finest. It teams up a subpoena server (Seth Rogan) and his drug dealer (James Franco) for an extremely hilarious set of events. James Franco does one heck of a job playing a part we’d never expect from him, gaining some much needed cred.

With the first day of 2009 already complete and 364 long ones still to go, we thought there are atleast 10 nights out of the year you should put aside for a nice night out with the guys or even your lady friend. 

There are ten movies coming out this year that we just can’t wait to see. From two movies starring Christian Bale to Denzel Washington and Tony Scott teaming up again for another thriller, this year’s playing host to a solid lineup of flicks.

Quentin Tarantino’s long-gestating WWII epic Inglorious Bastards finally sees the light of day with this re-envisioning of Enzo Castellari’s violent war film from 1977. The Weinstein Co. is scheduling the movie to release on August 21st, an unlikely choice of weekends.

This past August 22 saw the release of Death Race, The House Bunny and The Longshots, none of which I took the time to see. Tarantino has already stated that he wants to screen Basterds at the Cannes Film Festival in May, so we assume some sort of cut will be finished by then.

Excited much? With Blu-ray sales of The Dark Knight accounting for 25-30% of total disc sales, the guys over at Warner Bros. and Sony alike are still smiling. Just some insight: nearly 3 million copies of the movie were sold on Tuesday, with 600,000 units being sold on Blu-ray. The movie’s now the fastest-selling Blu-ray to date, taking the throne from Iron Man.

This week, we got some movies that should definitely end up on your Christmas list. We personally love Traitor, Coach Carter, and of course Tommy Boy.

The entire Godfather collection in stunning HD quality usually runs us about 70 bucks. Today, Best Buy’s offering the Coppola Restoration for $41.99. Not too bad at all. The deal’s only good for today so definitely check it out!

It’s a great way to start the month. We’ve got a fresh list of Blu-ray releases including one of our favorite classics. Casablanca is hitting our Blu-ray players. Wanted and Step Brothers are both coming to Blu-ray this week as well.

Apple TV, VUDU, Roku, and the XBOX 360 seem to have a pretty solid grip on the movie set-top-box market, but that’s not stopping Blockbuster from swimming with the sharks. For a “limited time, it will be offering the 2Wire-built MediaPoint player for free with the “advance rental of 25 first-run movies, TV shows, foreign or classic films from Blockbuster On-Demand (previously Movielink) for $99.” Rentals are going to be $1.99 to $3.99 each after that.

To gain market share, Blockbuster’s making it so you aren’t required to have a Blockbuster subscription. The MediaPoint player has two USB ports, an SD slot, Ethernet / WiFi, and an HDMI port.

We liked in Hitman, but loved her in Quantum of Solace.  Last Friday was great for her.  She enjoyed the release of the new Bond movie in the US while popping champagne for her 29th birthday.  Not a bad weekend at all for the latest Bond girl. 

She’s also featured in this month’s Maxim.  Check it out and let us know if she really is the hottest Bond girl ever.
