Here we have a look at some of the product in Mr. Bathing Ape’s S/S 2013 collection. The collection’s matured quite a bit over the last few seasons, with new segments being added in. This spring, expect suiting alongside footwear and formal accessories such as neckties and bowties. There’s a sophisticated middle ground as well filled with crewneck sweatshirts and polos.
We’ve seen Mr. Bathing Ape drop some notable pieces in recent months, including some formal accessories such as two-tone brogues, well-designed neckwear and more. Now, the label’s set to launch a line of custom suiting. BAPE’s creative director NIGO hand-selected these fabrics, with a fine example show above. The suit features brown Louis plaid with matching brown camo lining and specialized buttons.
This special order program will be available exclusively through United Arrows Japan.
We’ve seen some amazing things come from Mr. Bathing Ape, especially for Spring/Summer 2011. The neckties seen here are just another example of the brand’s willingness to stretch beyond conventional sartorial limits. The subtle detailing helps the collection to standout.
Two of the ties feature BAPE’s iconic camouflage motif with glitter detail while the other due show the Mr. Bathing Ape mustache logo stitched on. They’re available in wide and slim options and can be purchased now through I.T Hysan. (via Hypebeast)
Bathing Ape has been collaborating with Japanese retailer United Arrows on the highly sought-after Mr. Bathing Ape collection since back in 2009 and they’re still delivering some top-notch goods. “This season’s offerings include a partnership with heritage shoe company, Regal and luxury textile factory, Dormeuil, producing a series of American and British styled suits.”
