We’ve seen our fair amount of navy ties with white polka dots but this variation from Drake’s London gives some added texture in the form of its Shantung silk construction. “Originating from China, this variety of the luxurious fabric has a raw, bobbled feel adding texture and flair to your dressed-up looks.” The polka dot necktie has this timeless elegance that not many pieces embody and with the longstanding history of Drake’s behind it, there’s not really much else we can ask for.
Some more goods from designer label Alexander McQueen for y’all. This slim black cotton blend tie caught our attention and thought it’s worth highlighting. The diagonal gold stripes and brown skull motif really set it apart while the traditional striped ties make it more wearable than you’d expect.
Fine and Dandy Shop of New York turns us to their latest creation — the Double Blade Tie. “Essentially both blades are of the same width, in complimenting fabrics, and are intended to hang freely (the back blade doesn’t loop to the front blade).” They’re 100% silk and are 2 3/4″ at their widest point, taking some old school aesthete and mixing it with modern wearability.
Mark McNairy’s dropping some great neckwear for the summer including this navy piece with shark print throughout. It’s American made from English silk and comes in a lighter blue as well.
Cotton ties are one of my personal favorite spring/summer accessories. They offer texture that you generally don’t get from silk ties and are cooler on those hot summer days. Alexander Olch has a beautiful striped option. The Thomas tie is 100% cotton with a black, red, and yellow striped pattern. At 2.5 inches it is slim without being skinny and is a great accent to a chino or tropical wool suit.
General Knot & Co. hit the scene not too long ago but they’re already making an impact and delivering neckwear that’s extremely unique and wearable at the same time. This two-tone tie features classic seersucker stripes along with a vintage 1950′s folk art print in the inside details and the tail end.
Limited edition piece with only 20 made.
