Dazed Digital gives us shots from Mark McNairy’s S/S 2013 lookbook. The New Amsterdam collection for next year is looking quite promising as it blends some modern styling atop classic staples with which the New York designer’s name is synonymous. Here’s McNairy’s line of the year:

Formal tailoring has stuck around for a reason. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but if you don’t have fun then you shouldn’t be fuckin’ doing it.

With that being said, the unconventional blend of fabrics and prints is like a breath of fresh air to a menswear spectrum that seems a bit too “by the book” at times. More imagery can be found below.

Mark McNairy’s New Amsterdam drops their Derby boot for F/W 2011 in a brown grain leather finish, designed by the man himself and produced in Northampton, England from high quality materials. The full leather cap toe and leather grain upper works well with the contrast woven laces, while the shoe’s full leather lining adds some much welcomed comfort.

Mark McNairy New Amsterdam‘s Spring/Summer 2012 collection marks the first time the American designer delivers a true apparel collection under his namesake label. The range features shirts, pants, jackets and accessories with a few updated Ivy and military staples in the mix. Mark’s really pushing the boundaries with this collection as well as he offers up completely new pieces, ideas and inspirations. We spied floral printed madras, neon anoraks and embroidered camo to name a few. Look for this collection to hit select retailers worldwide early next year.

If you thought McNasty was going to be slowing down anytime soon, think again. The famed designer’s Spring 2012 collection is on display this week at Pitti and there’s a lot to anticipate. The footwear is looking promising once again with a full range of styles being offered including a dark suede brogue that sits atop a wooden sole and Goodyear construction. Some of the styles come with some choice words engraved on the bottom of the shoe (see image below).

The Bengal Stripe turns us to this unconstructed blazer from Mark McNairy for the warmer seasons. The oxford weave cotton shell comes in dark navy and features contrasting buttons. Other fine details include triple needle stitching, patch pockets and an overall simplified design.

Footwear from Mark McNairy‘s New Amsterdam has landed at Barneys New York on Madison Ave. Available now are a range of pieces including two styles of longwing brogues, grey and white bucks, navy saddle shoes, as well as a navy suede lace-up wingtip boot. A few of these are available online as well.

From Mark McNairy’s New Amsterdam collection come these Italian classics with an Americana vibe. The double monks feature an apron-less vamp and use Army grain leather to get the job done. The Goodyear welted Dainite sole gives for added comfort and support. They’re made in England, as are all New Amsterdam pieces.
