NexusVII and Dents enter their third collaborative season, this time delivering another leather glove that’s more mature and luxurious than the two before it. That’s pretty difficult to fathom but the black or brown body blended with camel on the thumb and the strap really does it. Made of smooth Sheepskin lined with high quality heat retaining wool holds red name tab for the proof of the partnership.
NexusVII delivers their second drop for the season with the ‘You Are My Sunshine’ Collection. The offerings reference the travels of solders to Hawaii on their way back home from intense war in order to restore their mental and physical health. The Mil-5H Gore-Tex boot made in collaboration with Timberland immediately stood out from the pack while the Windstopper Mil-Hooded jacket is a lightweight piece that’s so functional and extremely wearable as well. Other pieces from the drop include a down vest, button down shirt, t-shirts and hats.
I used to have one of these back in the day but it was some no-name brand and it cost next to nothing though I could be making most of this up as I don’t remember such intricate details of my childhood. Nonetheless, this rolling pen case from NexusVII is a great accessory. If your daily routine requires you to have writing utensils on hand then what better way to package your pencils and such?
Owner and creative director Tomohiro Konno has been doing some amazing things over at NexusVII ever since the label first hit the scene back in 2001. Konno takes much inspiration from his other projects as he also designs for Stussy Japan and OriginalFake and has done a tremendous job deliver high-quality gear that’s as functional as it is wearable.
This one-wash indigo denim shirt from the Japanese brand is one of our favorite pieces from their fall and winter offerings as the detailing is so well tuned. The custom collar with snaps, snap front closure, reinforced elbow patches and embroidered star underarm eyelets all give way to the shirt’s impeccable fit and look.
From NexusVII‘s limited collaboration with another Japenese brand, Loopwheeler, comes this button up hoody. The soft heavy loop terry shell is really special and something you’ll have to feel in person in order to fully grasp the delicate touch. As with all Loopwheeler items, their label is woven on the cuff.
