Junya Watanabe of COMME des GARCONS continues a fruitful collaboration with The North Face with this winter down coat from the eYe COMME des GARCONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN line. This piece is really well-thoughtout as it features elements from military-inspired classics like the N-3B and B9 and blends it with modern detailing. Note the leather trimmed pockets, classic check on the inner lining and the corduroy collar to top things off. The removable hood features fur and a central zip as well. Look for this piece to hit select accounts soon with an MSRP in the $1,750 range.
With the winter weather finally here, it’s time to pull out the snorkels and parkas for that added layer of protection. The folks at Alpha Industries sent one of their N-3B Slim Fit parkas over to us to try out and we have to say we’re glad they did. It features a flight nylon outer shell with contrasting nylon lining and polyfill for a thicker layer between you and the elements. The slim fit cut coupled with the longer length give way to added insulation and a effortless look.
Though Raif Adelberg is known for his Cashmere Cowichan sweaters, he’s dropped a few of the wool variety at Union LA. They’re actually vintage wool cowichan sweaters that have been cut up and patchworked back together, creating unique one of a kind sweaters. Italian label Bottega Veneta has been known to craft some pretty impressive menswear over the company’s longstanding history but their latest creation — the Row Wool Coat — may be one of their best yet. It features a navy cotton/wool shell that’s fitted with two front waist pockets and collar as well as a detachable hood for added functionality and versatility.
Here’s an exceptional outerwear option for this winter from French brand Hixsept. It features a rich honey shadded waxed cotton shell and has some limited edition Liberty fabric at the hood. When the rain hits or snow falls, this waxed cotton body will surely protect and the color choice here is great and will only get better with age. The fine details really stand out as well like the contrasting navy corduroy collar and button tab, detachable hood and adjustable drawstring at the waist.
From Dolce & Gabbana comes this red-brown pre-worn leather bomber jacket in a fitted cut. This may very well be one of our favorite jackets of the year as it’s got some fine detailing and the worn-in leather and finish is exceptional. The jacket also features ribbed wool cuffs and hem and is made in Italy with the finest care.

Schott NYC has teamed up with Restoration Hardware for a limited release of this vintage cafe racer motorcycle jacket. The slim fitting jacket features authentic talon zippers and comes in black and brown. It’s shipped in classic Perfecto cigar box, modeled after the original shipping boxes from the 1930s. Like all other fine Schott product, the jacket is made by hand in the Schott NYC union factory in Elizabeth, NJ.
