Schott NYC has teamed up with Restoration Hardware for a limited release of this vintage cafe racer motorcycle jacket. The slim fitting jacket features authentic talon zippers and comes in black and brown. It’s shipped in classic Perfecto cigar box, modeled after the original shipping boxes from the 1930s. Like all other fine Schott product, the jacket is made by hand in the Schott NYC union factory in Elizabeth, NJ.

Until now, we’ve seen only a small portion of what Schott’s Perfecto Brand will be offering up for Spring 2012. They’ve now gone ahead and released the entire lookbook for next spring, with “Northeastern sporting clubs and railroads serving as the backdrop. The locales are fitting, as vintage Americana remains the root of the line.” The Perfecto jacket will be available in some new fabrics and will work magnificently with the brand’s suede and waxed cotton pieces. Unveiled at this week’s (Capsule) show in Paris was a collaboration between Schott’s Perfecto Brand and Billykirk. They’ve teamed up for an all-leather tool bag for Spring 2012. The bag’s hand made by brothers Chris and Kirk Bray with parts from California and Pennsylvania and features elements incorporated from the iconic Schott Perfecto and BillyKirk’s classic carryall. It’s made from brown and black American cowhide and is fitted with quilted nylon lining, heavy chrome zipper, exterior coin pocket and Schott Perfecto hardware. Other fine details include double drop handles, signature Billykirk luggage tag, metal hinge frame, two interior pockets and a detachable leather shoulder.

Schott’s Greg Chapman has done a phenomenal job crafting the new launched Perfecto collection and the timing couldn’t have been better. All pieces are inspired by vintage Perfecto Schott pieces, with some modern enhancements of course. The offerings are made in limited quantities at Schott factory in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
The brand’s Deck Hand Toggle Coat is one of the standout pieces from the line as it’s made from selvedge denim and lined with chambray. Other fine details include contrast cotton stitching, selvedge under the collar and a neck storm flap for some added protection from the elements.
