Here we have a look at a special collaboration between Isaora and Porter. This canoe pack is made in Japan by legendary bag maker Yoshida & Co., and inspired by the ‘Poirer Pack’, a bag that was designed in the late 1800s by French-Canadian Camille Poirer. The bag’s designed all the elements of traveling outdoors like a thick canvas shell and flat square shape to keep things stable. This Canoe Pack features plenty of modern elements such as its engineered shape, internal iPad pouch, black felt padding, 2 side pockets, and zigzag stitching.

What makes it even more special is that $200 from each bag sold will go to the Japanese Red Cross to help with ongoing efforts relating to the devastating tsunami that hit the country.

Porter has teamed up with Pointer for a capsule collection of goods, one of them being this back pack. It’s made from heavyweight Japanese canvas and comes in a navy shell with navy and cream canvas straps as well as an array of welcomed details. The metal clasp fastening and drawstring rope, and two large zip pockets play well with the navy outer.

Japanese maker of travel goods Porter has teamed up with United Bamboo for a limited line of pieces. This canvas bag is roomy and durable and features leather accents to compliment the black finish. The detachable straps are also leather and the bottom’s waterproof. What more could you possibly need?

Monocle and Porter are at it again, this time with some help from BEAMS’ B YOSHIDA, to create canvas magazine strap. The accessory looks to help folks keep their books or mags neatly packed together during their commute to wherever they’re heading. As the magazine industry’s not-so-slow and slightly-painful death nears, Monocle hopes to continue their success, and we think this item’s meant to be more symbolic than anything.

The GQ Eye gives us a preview of Porter‘s upcoming collection, made exclusively for Barneys Co-Op to commemorate the shop’s 25th anniversary. Due to hit stores this September, the line will feature three bags (a $470 briefcase, $620 backpack, and $450 duffle) in silver nylon satin with cobalt blue lining. Talk about standing out.
