Australian label Zanerobe is showing at PROJECT LV and have brought forth their highly-successful sureshot trouser in a range of new prints and fabrics. The stretch twill comes in a few mid-weight variations that have been washed and softened to just the right comfort. Zanerobe also worked with a designer to create bespoke prints such as their desert camo and leopard variations, both of which you will not find anywhere else. Look for these pieces to hit select retailers in the months ahead.
With all the exciting things going on at this week’s Project tradeshow in NY, we were still making time to prowl for new, eye-catching product. We had the opportunity to chat with Javier Laval of Android Homme, an LA-based footwear brand. We’ve seen the label get some respectable coverage on various publications, online and off, but we hadn’t really gotten the opportunity to see what the brand was about. After speaking with Javier and getting a peek at what they’re delivering as part of their Holiday 2013 collection, we were beyond impressed. Though we can see some of the pieces be too eclectic for some of you guys out there, it’s important to focus on the attention to detail that goes into every single pair. We’re talking black/red pony hair mocs and python skin high-top sneakers.
Beyond the unparalleled level of creativity that’s being utilized by the Android Homme team, there’s also a high level of innovation. Some of the sneakers in their latest lineup feature an EVA sole that’s as light as a feather, which gives us a shoe that weights next to nothing. Android Homme continues to live in the future and it shows in the final product. We took some shots of our favorite styles below, so be sure to check them out below.
Del Toro Shoes is showing at this week’s Project tradeshow in New York. The brand’s experienced very rapid growth rate as of late and they’re showing no signs of letting up. They’ve expanded the offerings quite a bit and their latest lineup includes chukkas with some exceptional detailing and a continuation of their foundation which was built on the velvet slipper. What we dig the most? Del Toro‘s cap toe shoes with some vibrant detailing as well as their double monks featuring camo uppers. Game. Over.
Another day here at Project NY and we’ve got some great looks from Plectrum by Ben Sherman their Spring 2013 collection. Dubbed, “Jazz Life,” the lineup takes inspiration from the Jazz scene of 1960′s America, a time of sharp styles and new sounds. Ben Sherman’s latest offerings blend musical influence with style, creating a new silhouette and inspired design detail, lending the collection a more contemporary sensibility. Throughout the offerings, look for some amazing prints and a vibrant colour palette. Shirts get various print themes, including art deco inspired geometrics and dobby detailing layered onto pinstripes and checks. More imagery of the line below.
Carlos Campos is previewing his Spring 2013 collection at this week’s Project tradeshow in NYC. The color palette for next spring is quite vibrant with shades of green, yellow and blue seen throughout the offerings. The pieces utilize really lightweight cottons as well for some season-appropriate wears. More shots below.
Here we have a few looks at our favorite jewelry pieces from Han Cholo. The DJ-turned-designer has been known to cook up pieces that are catchy and accessible. The pieces are well-made with styles to match different styles. There’s a great mix and though we normally just see pieces from Han Cholo whenever he pleases, there’s actually a Spring collection coming. Ahh, structure. More shots below.
With Project NY and the Blogger Project now in full swing, we’re really excited to present some of our favorite brands and their Spring 2013 lines. Antonio Azzuolo’s been delivering some really promising collections and the attention to detail put into their S/S 2013 line is nothing short of exceptional. The core of the collection begins with the suit jacket and branches out from there, offering up a very complete collection. There’s a ton of tuxedo-inspired detailing on the suiting as well as some of the knits, all of which actually looks quite wearable. More looks of some of our favorite product below.
Hyden Yoo is showing at this week’s Project tradeshow in NYC and we’ve got some early looks at all the New York designer has to offer. Lightweight knits dominate the collection alongside well-made blazers all atop a vibrant color palette. There’s a good mix of product and with the past collections being as successful as they have been, there’s no doubt this run will be just as memorable.
Unless you live under a rock (or don’t read Por Homme), you know that jewelry has made a resurgence in menswear. Bernard James is an up and coming jeweler from New York that’s riding this trend and merging culture with fashion. The collection — comprised of bracelets, rings, tie bars, and necklaces — is inspired by the people of the Omo River Valley and the notion of sustainability. All of the pieces are handcrafted in Brooklyn by James and are made using the finest quality natural materials: sterling silver, leather, and stone beads.
We are happy to be back once again covering PROJECT NY as a part of The Blogger Project by Marcus Troy. This time we are getting a glimpse into the upcoming Fall/Winter collections. The folks at PROJECT continue to out do themselves with more and better brands. We will be providing exclusive content over the next few days so keep it locked. PROJECT NY runs from January 16-18.
