Puma‘s teamed up with Japanese retailer United Arrows for a special line of casual footwear. Three different styles encompass the collection, each crafted with a patent leather shell and fine detailing. Hints of suede, enamel and even metal studs give each of the three styles their own special touch.
They’re available for pre-order now at United Arrows for about $235 each.

While PUMA is known for their forward-thinking footwear designs, not many envisioned them being the pioneers of the shoe box as well. Well, they’ve unveiled the “Clever Little Bag” shoe box design, which looks to bridge the gap between design and sustainability. The bag is designed by Yves Behar and was unveiled this week at the Design Museum in London, England. It doubles as a reusable bag for shoes and PUMA says using this will reduce paper consumption by 65 percent and carbon emissions by roughly 10 tons per year.
The Clever Little Bag is only a piece of PUMA’s overall environmental-sustainability-project puzzle. The company has set a goal to reduce the amount of energy and water used in company offices and factories by 25 percent, while also and cutting waste by the same percentage.

F0r the first time since McQueen and Puma started their relationship, the team’s not only releasing amazingly designed and constructed shoes, but they’re also going to bless us with a well-crafted lineup of clothing as well. You can expect to see boxing-inspired apparel that molds the purpose of the pieces and transforms them into innovative and wearable garments in or out of the ring.
From a quick look at what the models are wearing on their feet, the footwear collection may also be taking much of its inspiration for the upcoming season from boxing as well, agreed?

YSL creative director Stefano Pilati is collaborating with Puma to bring us two new pairs of high-tops, with design by Pilati and technical iterations courtesy of the sneaker company. Although prices haven’t been released yet, we don’t expect them to be in our price range (I will say that I have a high-top sneaker fetish), but that’s never stopped us before. The last time we saw a Segway was our local mall’s rent-a-cop commanding authority on his high horse during the PS3 launch a few years back. Since it wasn’t able to make its way into households like the PC, Dean Kamen and company went back to the drawing board and this time with GM by their side.
Dubbed the Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project, or P.U.M.A. (for now), the self-balancing two-wheeler nearly triples the speed of the original Segway at 35 miles per hour and seats two for a luxurious tours of the city and the P.U.M.A. can apparently talk to surrounding vehicles to avoid collisions so you can do all of that in peace.
Pricing and release date are still a mystery but the P.U.M.A. is making it’s official debut at the New York Auto Show this week so we’ll be getting more info soon enough.

In the Fall, Puma will be bringing another collaboration onboard for their high-end footwear. Sergio Rossi will be joining the likes of Alexander McQueen and Mihara Yasuhiro. The Fall/Winter lineup mainly consists of a plethora of Clydes and First Rounds in a few different styles, our favorite being the hightop in marine blue (above).
The Fall collection is more subtle than we’d expect from Sergio, but expect high quality material and an increase in overall comfort.
