According to WWD, luxury retailer Eluxury will be pulling the plug on their e-commerce operation in the next few months. Instead, the website will be refocusing its energy on becoming the premier online source for information about luxury goods. The reason cited for Eluxury’s exit from the commerce world is the fact that an increasing number of labels have their own official webstore.

This holiday season, we’re sure to see some great decorations, especially in NYC. Macys in Herald Square is all lit up and so is Rockefeller Center’s Christmas Tree. We know LV and Saks always have their assortment of decorations for this time of year.
Calvin Klein’s been lucky enough to have Architect Joshua Prince-Ramus of Ramus-Ella Architects design a mini-four-storey house that’s suspended in the air at their 5th Avenue store in NYC. The miniature home’s furnished with tiny versions of CK clothing, accessories and home collections including the furniture line that will launch in early 2009 and weighs in at 1,000 pounds. Not so mini, is it?

Blackbrid’s posted a new brand to their site. PROPERTY OF… is a British brand that’s caught the eyes of the chaps over at BB and they’ve decided to sell some of their wallets and bags online and online only.
This is just for starters. If all goes well, then we’ll be seeing more Property Of… pieces pop up on BB. The boys over at Blackbird say that, “their bags have amazing materials and design details for a great price.” Do we believe them? Well, of course.
Head to Blackbird and check out the new kids on the block. And remember, you don’t need to make a trip to their Seattle location, because Property Of… will only be sold online.

It seems that the West Village is filled with upscale men’s shops, but that’s not stopping Kesner from joining the festivities. The interior design is as remarkable as the pieces that it carries, and Material Interest made sure we’d get a shot at both.
The bi-level space just opened today and features Art Deco club chairs, a chandelier from 1905 and alot of the color purple. The collections aren’t as pricey as the decor with apparel from Tim Hamilton, Gilded Age, and Patrik Ervell. Parisian label Melinda Gloss, who’s known for suiting and outerwear also joins the mix, along with L.G.R. sunglasses.
We expect to see Kesner make it through this coldest of winters.
