Ben Sherman Modern Classics division has been doing well since its initial launch just last year and with good reason. The product’s been well-designed and is extremely wearable. The collection’s dubbed “Modern Classics” for a reason as the pieces are timeless staples that will and should be worn for years to come.
The summer outerwear from the collection is looking great, with a blazer that’s crafted from selvedge cotton and is half chambray-lined and fitted with elbow patches and flapped pockets. There’s a matching Waistcoat added to the mix that’s just appealing. Both pieces are fitted with some fine details such as wooden button closures and are cut slimmer than your usual Ben Sherman product.

The label’s been really pushing the envelope as of late with some out-of-the-box designs. The most inspiring part of it all is that the styles are actually wearable. The shot above is a prime example of this and goes to show we can expect much more well-design product from Cole Haan in the near future.
From the Converse First String line comes the Johnny Weld Hi sneaker, a modern take on the iconic Jack Purcell kick. The shoe features shank detailing on the outsole as well as Bemis weld detailing, a technique used most commonly to seam-seal waterproof outerwear and outdoor tents. It’s also lined with terry cloth and is fitted with pinstripe detailing on the rubber midsole alonside the signature Jack Purcell smile.
