From Jan-Jan Van Essche comes the designer’s third collection, and an impressive one at that. There’s an unparalleled comfort to the offerings, though it doesn’t come at expense of quality or detail. Van Essche makes it look quite effortless and the styling throughout the preview shots is really well done as well. From New York clothier Ovadia & Sons comes these Italian indigo blue linen shorts finished in the label’s signature striped linen and fitted with a cuff to seal the deal. American-made with the utmost detail, these shorts also feature a hidden watch pocket and will look good all summer long. They’re available now through Ovadia & Sons online.
From LV comes their Monogram Kibo Sac, which is inspired by historic travel materials and delicately embossed. It’s a vintage-inspired rendition to a timeless essential and features natural cowhide leather detailing throughout to complete the look. From British designer Gary Fidele comes Clomm, a boutique watch brand specializing in creating minimalist, distinctive and timeless designs. Clomm products are made from materials of premium quality and embody both style and function. Each piece is designed and engineered to stand the test of time. Gary’s first design, the Terra Firma, is now available in a few different finishes. The Rose Gold and matte black PVD shell really stood out to us as it works really well with the rich brown leather strap. Clomm recently launched their online store which allows users to navigate through the brand’s entire collection, make a purchase, and keep up with news via their blog.
Miami-based Del Toro has been delivering Italian-made footwear for quite sometime now and their rapidly increasing clientele list is a testament to the brand’s dedication to quality and modern, wearable design. Among the fan base is Brooklyn’s very own Theophilus London, one of the city’s most gifted and stylistic rappers to date. The two recently teamed up to craft a black velvet slipper that’s infused with some fine detailings. Note the embroidered rose crest as well as the golden stars on the side and a red LVRS heel tab to signal London’s own fashion brand. Look for these to be available in a very limited run for $350 through Five Story NYC in July.
From Linda Farrow Luxe comes these angular-frame sunglasses. Linda Farrow eyewear has been iconic over the years to say the least and the designer continues to deliver impeccably designed pieces. They’re equal parts modern and elegant and feature all the fine detailings to make them worthy of recognition. This pair has gold-embossed arm details and are fitted with brown lenses. The frames are made in Japan with the utmost care and can now be had through MR PORTER.
Kanye West’s second run with Nike in the form of the Air Yeezy II is set to release next month with details of the final colorway being recently unveiled. The Platinum colorway is shown here and features hand skived anaconda textured leather quarter panels that are fitted with a debossed Vac-Tech Nike Swoosh. The reptilian inspired spikes on the back are molded to perfection and are complimented with a strap to offer greater symmetry and lock down. The AY II’s take much inspiration from the Nike Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe outsole and feature iconic Nike Cross Training silhouettes with the addition of the molded forefoot strap.
The detailing on the Air Yeezy II’s is phenomenal with a fine mix of leather, rugged ballistic nylon and soft nubuck. Other more subtle finishings include the hieroglyphic writing that spells out ‘YZY’ on a loop strap, as well as the obelisk shaped lace aglet screws, anaconda texture on the eyelets and the Roman numeral ‘II’ fitted leather lace toggle.
The Nike Air Yeezy II’s are set to release on June 9th in both the black and platinum colorways in very limited quantities.
