We recently gave you the A Kind of Guise Fall 2012 preview but here’s what they’re offering up for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. The pieces are really solid and come in a really inviting color palette. Look for a good mix of blues and a pop of salmon here and there as well. There’s some great shirting, chinos in an array of colors, as well as some mid-weight outerwear pieces that will surely catch your attention.
SENSE Magazine gives us a look at what to expect from the Supreme x Comme des Garcons SHIRT capsule collection that was announced earlier this year. Expect a box logo (reversed) tee and hoodie, both with Comme’s signature polka dot pattern. There’s also a camp cap, button down shirt, and a pair of work pants in the mix as well. The drop is to coincide with Dover Street Market’s Ginza store opening in Japan while you can also see these pieces to land in select Supreme stores next week.
Tom Ford is set to release some pretty amazing optical frames in the coming months. They’re gold with precious water buffalo horn in a specially designed resin box, which comes with conditioning cream and chamois cloth for complete care of the horn. The frames are slated to be available from April through June in Tom Ford boutiques and select luxury department stores and are priced at $2,950.
Well, looks like we’re about to have a few days of summer here in the Northeast, whereas a lot of other areas in the states have already gotten a taste of warmth. It’s the perfect time to go invest in some solid swimwear and we’d look no further than Onia. The New York based brand has been steadily expanding their offerings and have delivered all the goods you’ll need to toss into your beach bag, including the bag itself.
A few more looks below though click on over to Onia to get right down to business. We suggest the label’s classic Calder fit. They can also be found in select Bloomingdales, Barney’s and Ritz Carlton locations.
hard graft has been working on this one for a few years now and we think they got it right with the final product. Their 3Fold Multi-Use bag can be used as an overnighter, messenger/laptop bag or even as a carry-all in the Portfolio format. Every handle, rivet, detail is reinforced and supported on the inside for added support and comfort. The Italian artisans at hard-graft have given us a bag worth buying for just about any occasion.

Buttero’s known for their impeccably crafted footwear and now the Tuscan shoemaker has teamed up with Dutch brand Denham for a small line of sneakers. The pieces feature vegetable-tanned leathers local to Buttero’s hometown of Stabbia and the brand’s roots show in the construction as each shoe is made via traditional methods. In order to give their new trainer-inspired designs an added dose of freshness, they have modified these styles for by integrating a pure white leather toe-piece, a minimalistic detail that’s exclusive to Denham. Here we have Spring 2012 looks from Ralph Lauren’s Denim & Supply line, offering up another solid mix of product for the warmer months ahead. This season, Denim & Supply channels the adventurous spirit of Cape Cod and the earthy and bohemian air of Baja with a rugged, effortless style. The denim’s delivered in an array of softly washed colors and textures in a palette of ivory and indigo while other pieces such as lightweight knits, bleached fleece and distressed outerwear add to the nautical theme of the collection.
Look for Denim & Supply to be available through Macy’s as well as DenimandSupply.com.
One of the standout pieces from Supreme‘s Spring 2012 collection is this red pullover with Arabic writing on the front in white. Not sure what it says but what I do know is that I’m buying it when it drops later this week. The entire collection’s set to drop in the New York, Los Angeles and London shops beginning February 23, and the Japan locations on February 25. Online availability will be offered starting March 1.
Edit: hat-tip from Maria Al-Sabah on Twitter — “Pronounced ‘Sobhan’, it usually is said as “Sobhan Allah”, meaning hallelujah. Sobhan alone really doesn’t mean anything.”
Speaking from the heart, I’ve been a fan of the PUMA x AMQ collaboration for years now, trailing back to my college days when I used to make my way over to The Black Store and grab a pair or two season over season. It was the only place you could find PUMA’s Black Label collaborations and though a pair is a bit easier to track down nowadays, the designs have seldom disappointed. The Street Climb Mids in leather for spring look impeccable and come in a trio of colorways – cognac, white, and black. They’re wearable and with their track record, are known to be one of the most comfortable pair of kicks you’ll ever own. Considering I own a ton of ‘em them — TRUST. Look for these to hit select shops in the weeks ahead.
