Penfield keeps things tastefully simple with their Spring 2012 lookbook, giving us a glimpse into the collection on a clean, white palette. The pieces come in inviting colors that will be perfect for when the sun shines. Massachusetts, from where Penfield originates, is known for its wet springs months and cool summer evenings, so there’s no doubt these offerings will be ideal for this. I’ve actually seen a ton of Penfield goods while I’ve been here in London and it makes sense. The pieces are well designed and work well in just about any weather so when it goes from being sunny and dry to downright gloomy and wet, having a Penfield jacket on does wonders.

Spring product is beginning to drop and this Y-3 sneaker is one of our favorites thus far. The low-top design features tonal leather and rubber trimmings throughout and is finished off with a white rubber cap toe. The black cord lacing is modern and futuristic at the same time and really sets the shoe apart from the pack. The red cord loop detail at the heel worked well as a contrast.
Maison Margiela delivers a new take on one of their most classic styles for Spring 2012, giving us this low top canvas sneaker with a large scale pixel square print. Laces are optional as the original shoe tongue concept uses elastics at the sides to keep the foot in place. White stitching at the heel and a few other fine details make this Italian-made sneaker one of the finest we’ve seen for the upcoming spring season.
