Suitsupply has just opened another US store, this time setting up shop in The City of Brotherly Love. Located in Rittenhouse Square, the setup takes over an 84-year-old former hotel in the heart of Philly, bringing out everything we’ve come to expect from the European clothier. Philadelphia is known to have an eclectic sense of style which will play well for a brand that looks to deliver timeless pieces with modern twists and unparalleled quality and detail.
Timing is perfect as Suitsupply’s also just dropped a lot of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The focus this season is on rich hues and bold textures with Indigo-colored wool, linen and silk fortifying the lineup. Other standouts include denim shirts and double-breasted suits with a color palette that stretches out to burnt orange, faded red, and ochre-accented colors.
Suitsupply Philadelphia is open for business and we’re looking forward to making a visit. For our Delaware Valley readers, head on over to 1601 Locust and let us know your thoughts.

Adrien Sauvage is known for crafting modern menswear that lives by a simple philosophy – “Dress Easy” (DE). The Fall/Winter 2013 collection continues to deliver functional yet wearable pieces for which the London-based designer is now known. Inspiration comes this time from Jean-Michel Basquiat and 1970s graffiti art as well as contemporary tailoring, bringing forth a line that’s filled with classic pieces in a slimmer cut and tossed across a vast color palette and unique prints.
Look for A. Sauvage Fall/Winter 2013 to be available through select retailers in the months ahead.

We recently took a trip to Atlanta and my first impressions of the southern city were nothing but positive as the gateway to the south has a unique appeal other cities can’t deliver. Now, Atlanta joins a growing list of American metros with a Suitsupply store. New York, Washington D.C., and Chicago have been just as fortunate but this is the latest and greatest, folks. Suitsupply Atlanta features everything you’ve come to expect from the Netherlands brand — well-tailored clothing for the modern man with unbeatable service from a knowledgable team of guys (and gals) that are passionate about menswear. The design ethos for the ATL store is equal parts class and elegance and even features a private fitting room.
Nish de Gruiter has done a phenomenal job leading the expansion of Suitsupply in the US and they’re not showing any signs of letting up. We’ve gotten word that other major developments are in the works so stay tuned for more exciting news. For the folks in ATL, be sure to make your way over to Buckhead to check out the new space. New York-based Hvrminn has provided a custom tailor service for two years and is finally set to introduce its Ready-to-wear and Made-to-measure collection. Production takes place at the historic Martin Greenfield factory in Brooklyn, allowing the label to provide quality across both the materials utilized as well as the craftsmanship. There’s a timeless elegance to the offerings, with a modern sensibility and an American romanticism not seen in the current Menswear market. For Fall 2013, inspiration comes from the Jazz Age in a forward interpretation including exaggerated lapels and elongated jackets.

J.Crew, as part of their J.Crew on Film series, recently took a trip to one of the storied Italian mills that produces fabric for our Ludlow suit. The team traveled to Italy’s Vitale Barberis Canonico mill to learn how the intersection of family, tradition and passion creates a suiting fabric tailor-made for the J.Crew’s iconic Ludlow suit. The film highlights the American brand’s appreciation for design, quality, heritage, artistry and the people who bring their designs to life.
Check out the video below in which Francesco Barberis Canonico, the charismatic scion of this family business, provides narration. The full story can be found on J.Crew.

Suitsupply continues to impress as they’ve just released their first collaboration with online retailer Park & Bond. It comes in the form of a slim-fitting double breasted suit, a piece both teams had a hand in developing. The shell’s done in navy wool Super 130′s birdseye from Vitali Barberis Canonico with horn buttons, surgeon’s cuffs, and a completely deconstructed shoulder. It looks great and with Suitsupply‘s reputation of crafting pieces that fit and feel great as well, we’re confident this suit is an essential pick up.
Buy it exclusively through Park & Bond for the extremely accessible price of $569. If this isn’t an impulse buy you won’t regret, I just don’t know what is.
