Apple’s 4th-Generation iPad with Retina Display

Apple's 4th-Generation iPad with Retina Display

Along with the release of the iPad Mini, Apple also unveiled the latest iPad, this time featuring the brand’s Retina Display to beef up resolution and detail. The Retina display on iPad features a 2048-by-1536 resolution and four times the number of pixels in iPad 2 and a million more than an HDTV. Everything’s powered by Apple’s A6X chip, a powerful workhorse that delivers up to twice the CPU and graphics performance of the A5X chip. You can shoot 1080p video or capture 5-MP images via the latest iSight camera and share your creations over “Ultrafast” wireless. The Wi-Fi’s dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11n and can support for channel bonding. The Cellular data’s now LTE ready so you can even more, faster.

The iPad will be available for pre-order on October 26th.

iPad Mini

Apple iPad Mini 7.9-inch Display

Apple’s finally released the highly rumored iPad Mini, and it doesn’t disappoint in terms of features or design. You get the “full iPad experience” but at a 7.9-inch display size rather than the iPad’s 9.7-inch display. However, there are some key differences that need to be mentioned. The iPad Mini doesn’t come with Retina Display so expect screen quality to be that of the original iPad and iPad 2. Also, the iPad Mini features an A5 processor compared to the A6X processor of the latest iPad. What you will get is a HD FaceTime Camera, a 5 MP iSight camera, 1080p video recording, the ability to buy it in both a WiFi-only or with Cellular capabilities via a nano-SIM (not Micro-SIM of generations past), Siri, and up to 10 hours of battery life.

The iPad Mini will be available for pre-order on October 26th with WiFi-only models being available at 8am on November 2nd. WiFi + Cellular will be available later in November.
