Australian label Zanerobe is showing at PROJECT LV and have brought forth their highly-successful sureshot trouser in a range of new prints and fabrics. The stretch twill comes in a few mid-weight variations that have been washed and softened to just the right comfort. Zanerobe also worked with a designer to create bespoke prints such as their desert camo and leopard variations, both of which you will not find anywhere else. Look for these pieces to hit select retailers in the months ahead.
With PROJECT and Nick Wooster reconnecting next week for the second season of PROJECT Wooster in Las Vegas, we’ve got a preview video highlighting the collaborative effort and seeing what direction Mr. Wooster is going to take the initiative this time around. Nick and PROJECT president Andrew Pollard took a trip to Japan to see how American heritage is being perceived there. Look for this to be the focus of this season’s PROJECT Wooster with brands like Visvim, Monitaly, Kapital, Nepenthes, United Arrows, and a few others on display. “Regardless of what you’ve seen in Florence, Milan, Paris, or New York, there will be some surprises. And I’m excited for several new collaborations with brands that I really respect.”
PROJECT Vegas hits Mandalay Bay from February 13th to February 15th. Preview video can be found below. (via GQ Eye)
Valentino took to the runways at Pitti Uomo 2012 to showcase their Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have delivered a collection that features sportswear pieces next to tailored formal attire. This is the modern menswear at its finest and if the runways of Milan, Paris, London and New York are nearly as solid as the offerings of Valentino then we’ll surely be in for a tremendous Fall 2012.
Marcus Troy caught up with Nick Wooster at PROJECT in Las Vegas last week to get his thoughts on PROJECT Wooster, an installation inside the show that highlighted some of Nick’s favorite brands for the Spring 2012 season. The video below was shot exclusively for GQ Eye and highlights some of the brands on display like Dita, Barker Black, Boglioli and others.

Men’s Market Week is getting set to kick off here in New York City and, as always, (capsule) show is leading the way. The brand list for this year’s show is tremendous as over a hundred of the world’s finest labels will showcase their A/W 2011 collections. What I’ve always digged about (capsule) is the show’s ability to bring together so many gifted folks from a wide range of disciplines — old and new — under one roof and do it such an organized manner.
The list includes some of our favorite brands from seasons past such as Billy Reid, Monitaly, Fjallraven and Timo Weiland. We’re also excited to check out other notables including London Undercover, PRPS Japan, and Schott’s Perfecto.
(capsule) New York runs from January 17th to 18th. Please visit www.capsuleshow.com for information on this and other shows happening this season.
