Miami-based Del Toro has been delivering Italian-made footwear for quite sometime now and their rapidly increasing clientele list is a testament to the brand’s dedication to quality and modern, wearable design. Among the fan base is Brooklyn’s very own Theophilus London, one of the city’s most gifted and stylistic rappers to date. The two recently teamed up to craft a black velvet slipper that’s infused with some fine detailings. Note the embroidered rose crest as well as the golden stars on the side and a red LVRS heel tab to signal London’s own fashion brand. Look for these to be available in a very limited run for $350 through Five Story NYC in July.
I’m all for diversifying your wardrobe but this may be the first time velvet gets endorsed. This blazer from Filippa K just hit the market and we’re digging the wash and construction to the fullest. The dark cinnamon finish will work well for the next few months and with just about anything. Velvet’s never looked so good. No word on price but you can find the nearest Filippa K store to find out.
