Psyclone TouchCharge pads for PS3, Wii, and XBOX 360

The concept behind the Psyclone TouchCharge is a good one. It gives you the ability to put down your PS3, Wii, or XBOX 360 controller on the charging pad and it automatically begins to charge the peripheral. The set comes with a charging pad and a contact charger, which latches on to the controller.

The charging kit for the XBOX 360 is the most expensive at $69.99. The Wii’s set is at a fair $59.99. Unlike the Wii and 360, the PS3 charging kit does not need external rechargable batteries, as it already has them built in. This explains the cheaper $49.99 price tag.

What’s next for Psyclone, a charging kit for our precious iPhones? The possibilities are endless.

9-year-old boy says ‘It’s ok I practice on video games’ after driving family car

If a car’s driving down the street and it looks like there’s no one driving it, what would you do?  Would you call the police or go about your business knowing you’d sound stupid?  Well one lady chose the former.  She didn’t know that there was a confident 9-year-old boy behind the wheel of that car on his way to grandma’s house.

Police found the car in the parking lot of a convenience store, where he was asking a store clerk for directions.  The police spokesman said that the car was nicely backed into the parking space.  When questioned by police, the boy responded by saying, “It’s ok, I practice on video games.”

Poor kid.  All he wanted to do was go to his grandmother’s house.

Guitar Hero wants its crown back with World Tour

Before Rock Band, the band-simulation phenomenon started with one guitar.  Guitar Hero set the tone for the genre and it took the world by storm.  As much as we loved it then, EA’s been schooling Guitar Hero ever since they released Rock Band.

That’s about to change, because Guitar Hero World Tour has hit stores nationwide and It’s amazing.  Not only does it feature a full band setup, complete with cymbal-equipped drum set, but the Smashing Pumpkin’s new single GLOW will debut in the game as well.

What more could you want?  Look for the game to be available for the PS3, X360, Wii, and even the PS2.

PS3 gets Flash 9 while Adobe releases Flash 10

We’re not complaining or anything but it’s just amusing, that’s all.  I updated my PS3 last night when 2.50 initially released and we were pretty pumped to get Flash 9 (along with some power-saving features).  It’s a big upgrade for us, making many more intriguing websites accessible than were compatible with the PS3 browser before.

Then, I woke up and found out that Flash 10 was being released.  Damn. It’s okay I guess, right?  We got Flash and that’s all the matters!

Flash 10 does pack some very interesting features like 3D Effects, custom filters, and World-Class Typographical control.

The Campaign: Obama Ads in Burnout Paradise

Talk about “product placement.”  EA has confirmed that they have approved atleast one ad that’s popped up on X360 screens.  The above ad might be the first of many ads by Obama’s team, but they have said that they’ll continue to approve ads by “credible political candidates.”

Sony PSP getting DualShock 3 compatibility via PSP Plus

Sony just finished showing off a new technology called “PSP Plus” that lets players connect their PSP with their PS3 so that they can use the PS3 wireless controllers while playing games on their PSP.  The rumble of the DualShock 3 will also be supported, so it’s definitely something we’re looking forward to.

Currently, Resistance Retribution is the only game supporting PSP Plus but we’re sure that’ll change very soon.

Thanks joystiq!
