GQ’s 2012 Best New Menswear Designers in America have been tapped to craft capsule collections with American giant Gap and we’ve now got first looks at the offerings. Ian Velardi, Todd Snyder, Saturdays Surf, BLK DNM, Ovadia & Sons, and Mark McNairy New Amsterdam will drop their own offerings for this limited-edition drop that’s set to release on September 27th. Oh, you’re reading that right. Dov Charney-led American Apparel has bought Warriors of Radness. The capital that’s just been thrown behind WoR is tremendous and will surely expedite the growth of the SoCal label. There’s a two-minute clip below that has Rick Klotz of Warriors of Radness and a few of the other guys chatting it up alongside Dov. Definitely worth checking out.

Dubbed “Watchmaking’s Future in the Physical Form” by the folks over at Hodinkee, the Cartier ID Two concept watch is nothing short of magnificent. It’s even more impressive than the Cartier ID One which was unveiled in 2009. In fact, it’s more impressive than any watch we’ve seen in our times from a technological and innovation front. It’s made from a single block of ceramic called Ceramyst that is completely transparent and features a 32-day power reserve. The caseback is held on via a vacuum seal, meaning zero screws. Talk about efficiency, efficiency we haven’t seen in the watch industry ever. The Cartier ID Two produces 30% more power and consumes only half as much as a traditional watch, providing for a 32 day power reserve in just a 42mm case. There’s a ton of street style photography taking place during the fashion week and tradeshow circuits but MR PORTER‘s opted to hold off on stills and give us a video that highlights some of the top accessories spotted at this past week’s Milan Fashion Week. “Whether on faces or feet, the men at Milan Fashion Week have been adding a spot of sprezzatura with their accessories. Lana Del Rey drops the official video for “National Anthem” which comes off her debut album Born to Die. The visual features the songstress playing Jacqueline Kennedy and none other than A$AP Rocky making an appearance as former President John F. Kennedy. The art direction and attention to detail is really epic and the seven-minute video is worth checking out just for that.

After a four year hiatus from the big screen, 2012 will bring in the 23rd film of the James Bond franchise. Bond’s loyalty to M is tested in “SKYFALL” as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. The flick’s trailer sees 007 jump from London to Shanghai. The film is slated for a November 9, 2012 release date.

MR PORTER releases another video as part of their The Way I Dress series, this time showcasing actor and designer Waris Ahluwalia and his impeccable sense of style. The man tends to stick to a uniform of blazers, suits, proper shoes and beautifully made shirts no matter where he’s headed or what the occasion. House of Waris, his jewelry label, has seen tremendous success and we’re not surprised one bit.

His varied work sees him constantly travelling between New York, Paris and India, so whether he’s heading to a film set to star in a Mr Wes Anderson film or to visit a craftsman in Rome or Jaipur, Mr Ahluwalia wears elegant clothes with the same ease with which he approaches different disciplines. “My motto in life is to learn from experience. I do things and learn from the process, and as soon as the process gets boring I am on to the next thing.”

The video was directed by Chris Floyd and was captured at the Mercer Hotel in New York City.
