Nowness features this short film highlighting Louis Vuitton‘s new timepiece, the Tambour Minute Repeater. It was crafted in collaboration with Swiss master horologists of La Fabrique du Temps. True to the brand’s renown for handcrafted luxury travel accessories, the watchmakers reveal the complex mechanics employed to display one time while being able, upon request, to chime an alternative ‘home’ time. Vancouver-based retailer Roden Gray has cooked up this Holiday 2011 lookbook video entitled, “Absinthe Minded”. Some of the brands featured in the video include Adam Kimmel x Carhartt, Alden, Band of Outsiders, Gitman Brothers, Levi’s Made & Crafted, Nanamica, Wing + Horns and a few others. Direction was led by Zak David with Jeffro Halladay getting the production credit.
A few weeks back, Original Penguin launched one of the most creative campaigns in recent memory. They reignited the brand’s roots by shedding light on a piece that’s an iconic artifact from the brand’s archives — the Original Penguin Jacket. We’ve seen their flagship Fifth Avenue location get done up in extravagant packaging (which will be the case again this year I’m sure) but this 3D video projection show really tops anything they’ve done in the past. Though the talk is only a few minutes long, the topic is covered with great detail and shows Mr. Lauren’s passion for fine made goods. Though there’s a struggle between the type of watch he’s wanted to make and what is concievable and accepted in the industry, we think some of the pieces RL has released over the years are progressive in their own ways but timeless nonetheless.

The car’s not only blessed with track-orientated performance but it’s also got all the proper design cues to make this one of the most aggressive vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Lexdray has launched a video series to compliment their current Classified Collection. Each day, Lexdray will be showcasing a piece from the Classified Collection via 3D video, which have been crafted in coordination with LA production company, Wendel. Viewers get a 3D look at each bag so they can see all the intricate details from the military grade hardware to the weather resistant fabric.
We’ve covered the goods in the past, heck we even were even fortunate enough to take Lexdray on a trip with us a few months back. They blend Japanese craftsmanship and modern functionality and deliver them in all black shells. Each bag is individually numbered, and our personal favorite is the Tokyo Pack, the video of which can be seen below alongside another for the Boulder Pack. Here we have a video from Stone Island‘s R&D department that looks to highlight a new process developed by the Italian brand to make their ultra-light nylon, garment dyed down jacket. The nylon weighs only 26 grams per square meter and is filled with the finest down, appositely treated to bear the stress of the garment dyeing procedure. The lightweight and comfort of the jacket is achieved through the direct injection of the feathers and by a simplified construction of the down bags. The jacket is then garment dyed through special formulas to achieve otherwise unreachable shades and the addition of a special agent to the dye formula makes the piece anti-drop. Video is below.
BMW drops this video that gives us some stunning detail shots of the new 2012 BMW M5 and even gives us a good feel for what the twin-turbocharged V8 will sound like when it blasts past us on the Interstate. The wondrous beauty MSRPs at $92,000.
