The first in the “Crafting Higher Standard” series of seven films, we get an intimate look at how Danner boots are handled as part of their Recrafting services with narration by Danner employees. If you’ve gone beyond just breaking in your boots, they can be fully repaired by hand to extend its life. Besides, a really roughed up boot that’s been rebuilt to add comfort and wearability is a sight to see.

The brand has been working with some of the world’s elite fighting units for over a decade and this video really gives some insight into the high performance gear and apparel the brands dished out in the past.
Captured during last month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, this video from Porsche sheds light on the philosophy behind the new interior of the 911. The Porsche 911 is one of the most iconic cars on the road and the German automaker has managed time and time again to give the beauty some modern aesthete without stripping it of its origins. With the interior, we think there are some definite parallels between the more modern designs of recent years and those we saw decades ago. The basis throughout all these years continues to be comfort and timeless elegance and the 2012 911 delivers on all counts.
Dana Lee has displayed some exceptional work over the past few years and the New York designer’s S/S 2012 collection is all that we expected and then some. The color palette for next spring features a perfect balance of neutrals and stand outs such as red and yellow help to give the lineup some distinction and character. With retailers like Opening Ceremony, Standard Goods and Hunting & Collecting carrying Dana Lee, we’re sure we’ll be seeing more of this amazing product in the near future.

We got hints of this a while back but Kris Van Assche has finally unveiled his short film, “A Moment in Time”. It’s directed by Joost Vandebrug and was presented a few days back at the launch of LONDERZEEL number 2 during Paris Fashion Week. The short film represents the easy going feel of Kris Van Assche’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection by telling a story of two old friends that reconnect at a bar after sometime apart.
Here’s a look at a new video from Gant by Michael Bastian. It’s titled “Sunshine Days” and showcases the line’s recent S/S 2012 showing during New York Fashion Week. The collection takes much inspiration from the Brady Bunch Goes to Hawaii with bright colors on well-fitting pieces bolstering the lineup.
Ace Hotel, Wings + Horns and BEAMS recently teamed up to create a capsule collection built around Wings + Horns’ iconic fleece with the sport of boxing as the primary source of inspiration. This video from Original Penguin tells the story of the Original Penguin Jacket, a piece that’s the symbol of the brand and its storied history and dates back to 1956.
