From visvim comes a boot from their current F/W 2012 collection. The ARMIGER-FOLK is a moccasin-style toe work boot with a slimmed fast. As usual, the Vibram outsole works well against the Horween-sourced vegetable tanned leather upper. The iconic TPU insert along the heel is now a signature of visvim footwear. Union LA has taken their first delivery of footwear for the Fall 2012 season and, as you can see, they’re starting things off right. visvim drops another batch of goods this week, with the Virgil Cantor-Folk boot being one of the standouts from the pack. It’s an F.I.L. exclusive and features a veggie tanned cowhide leather shell in cognac. The contrasting Vibram sole is utilized once again and works really well against the rich colored shell.
Here’s one of our favorite offerings from visvim for the upcoming Fall 2011 season. The red GORE-TEX shell takes inspiration from a classic M-65 military jacket and also features a drawstring over sized collar with a packable hood for added detail and function. Look for this jacket to be available through select visvim retailers this week as well as through F.I.L. locations in Asia.
When you’re buying shoes as expensive as visvims, maybe it’s best to talk to those guys about maintaining your latest investment. Lucky for us, the Japanese label offers up some authentic shoe care product in the form of their Shoe Care Kit and Suede Care Kit alongside a series of shoe brushes. Look for them at visvim retailers including DLX.
Here’s another product drop from the folks at visvim, this time a suede brogue. It features a natural pigment-free hand-sewn cowhide upper that’s welted on a Vibram sole and TPU heel stabilizer. The shoe will be available at select retailers in black, dark brown and sand.
visvim does it again with their footwear offerings, this time dropping a sneaker that’s filled with amazing detail and crafted to perfection. The Lauda Stripe-Folk sneaker features a brown premium kudu-hide leather high top upper that’s lined with leather that sits atop a natural cork footbed. The replaceable and resoleable sole allows the sneaker to breathe new life even when it’s so close to the end of its life cycle.
Available now from visvim is their Virgil Cap Okie-Folk boot. The upper is made from natural veggie-tanned cowhide and features a natural cork footbed. It’s all hand-sewn to perfection and dropped atop a lug outsole and will be available in a few different colorways.
Visvim has created a classic: a simple, luxurious varsity jacket made of goat suede. It’s water repellent, so no need to worry about getting caught in a light shower, and raglan sleeves insure a comfortable fit in the shoulders. The rust and butter cream colors are classic and versatile as well. This jacket is perfect for spring but not the easiest to get a hold of. Godspeed.
