From the Maison Martin Margiela accessories line comes this men’s wallet for Spring/Summer ’12. It comes in a hay finish with some fine detailing throughout such as compartment labels in gold lettering. The inside has slots for card storage, notes, a coin pouch and space for docs. The outside is quite the opposite as its marked only with the white Margiela stitch on the spine.
Stussy Deluxe looks to take things next level with this collaborative effort with UK leather goods company, Ettinger. The co-branded leather billfold are a great pickup for the holiday, whether it’s for you or someone else. Ettinger has been crafting fine product for over 70 years and have even been granted a Royal Warrant by the British Royal family. This custom-made billfold is another exceptional delivery as it features a coin pocket and comes in three color ways: black with yellow interior, brown with red interior and tan with powder blue interior. These pieces are hand made and feature the utmost attention to detail.
Blitzed with fine details, Barrett Alley’s latest creation comes in a classic bifold wallet but with some fine enhancements. Limited to just 6 pieces, these wallets are made from bark tanned deerskin and lined with a Meiji period Japanese hemp umakake. Each wallet’s hand cut and sewn with Irish linen thread using the traditional saddle stitch method. They’re individually signed and numbered and feature 5 card pockets and a large bill opening.
It’s as if these guys entered my house looked at my old wallet, phone, and everything else I carry on the regular and asked — “How can we make this better?” This obviously didn’t happen but the Kenton Sorenson’s Modern Man collection really appeals to us, most likely because we are prime examples of modern men. I would think. A couple credit cards, cash and an iPhone are always with us and we’d prefer them in one place and in a slimmer silhouette than most conventional wallets.
Gold zippers? Count me in, folks. It’s detailing like this that drives quality product home for me. This small wallet comes in soft black leather – something we’ve seen plenty of times – but when mated with a gold metal zip closure, it makes a world of difference. The wallet’s unlined and has one coin compartment down the middle. Definitely worth picking up if you want to switch it up on ‘em.
Kansas City’s Baldwin Denim is known for just that but they’ve slowly begun to add some must-have pieces to their lineup to compliment the extensive denim offerings. The Aaron Denim Jacket was great but we’re really impressed by this wallet that’s designed to hold all your summer essentials. There’s space for your the usual paper and plastic but it also features a compartment for your shades. Just throw it in the bag.
This wallet from Jack Spade really caught our attention recently. It’s embossed with a repeat burnished anchor atop the dark brown vegetable dyed cowhide leather. The interior’s lined with natural colored linen screen with vintage tattoo flash artwork.
From Boris Bidjan Saberi comes this leather pouch wallet. It’s designed as a folding pouch and is nothing like your ordinary men’s wallet. The inside houses three separate components. It’s made from a soft oil washed calf leather and fastens with a black, leather-coated drawstring tie or can be wrapped and secured with the wooden toggle tie.
The wallet also comes with a protective dust bag.
We’ve came across one of Maxx + Unicorn’s wallets in camouflage a few months back but this is the first we’re seeing of a card holder variety with the same shell. It’s simple yet functional and is decent in size to keep things slim.
