This time of the year is always pretty dry in terms of breaking news but we stumbled across this lookbook from the Revolver shop out in San Francisco. It highlights some of the goods in their Fall 2011 collection, shedding light on a solid lineup of brands, most of them being very new to the industry. Included in the mix are Metsa, Yuketen, Baron Wells, Makr, Tellason and a few others. (via the189)
Though we’ve seen Yuketen’s 5 Eye Maine Guide Boot in past seasons, this year’s the first time we’ve seen it in this green leather finish and boy is it impressive. It’s got the hand-stitched moccasin toe while the tongue is crafted from soft, durable brown leather. The details are immense as the top of the heel to assist with pulling on the boot and there’s also a reinforced panel that runs up the back of each heel. The off white Vibram sole features a sturdy tread and works really well with the green and brown upper.
Oh, there’s so much to look forward to for Fall 2011, and the wishlist is getting longer and longer, my friends. Yuki Matsuda’s Yuketen brand is coming full force with handmade product that can’t be ignored. The Maine Guide Boot is back, of course, this time in a deep green leather shell and even a strap version of this classic outdoor style, as well as the very popular Oxford, and the classic Main Guide Boot as well for good measures. The Triangle Backpack will be available as well with its classic outdoor style and offered up in two colorways.
The Maine Guide Oxford shoe from Yuketen looks great this wax flesh blue finish. We’ve seen some great pieces from the Yuki Matsuda-led brand and their latest variation of the Maine Guide boot looks great. The leather hand-stitched upper works well with the Vibram Cristy sole. It’s a perfect mix of comfort and wearability.
Here’s another fine release from Yuketen for S/S ’11. For the warmer seasons, a pair of black boat shoes is such a perfect pickup but we like these even more so. They’re made from leather throughout and feature hand stitched upper with contrasting details.
Every man should own one pair of interesting footwear and Yuketen’s 2-Tone Camp Mocs are an excellent decision. Made in the USA from fine leathers, they actually feature three colors: brown, navy, and forest green. The understated nature of the hues make them easy to pair with outfits, and the classic silhouette makes sure that they’re stylish without being distracting.
Iconic American shoemaker Yuketen has been dishing out staple items for quite some time and their Country Loafer is no different. It’s been fitted with a tweaked upper that works better with the more rugged crepe sole. The stitching detail on this shoe is worth noting as it’s all hand sewn with such precision. The result is impeccable.
Seattle’s Blackbird has taken stock of five new styles of boots from Yuketen, all of which are definitely worth mentioning. The Maine Guide Boot happens to be one of favorites and it’s been slightly enhanced for the spring by being fitted with contrast stitching and some two-tone laces rather the brown flavors we saw in the fall.
Look for these boots to hit Blackbird’s online store in the coming days. Pricing and imagery after the jump.
We’ve seen Yuketen‘s Maine Guide boot in several variations in recent months but this one definitely takes the cake. And by cake, I mean my wallet. The hand-stitched uppers feature some striped wool and herringbone panels, which all happen to mesh together quite nicely, especially atop the vibram sole. The leather strap across the front with contrast stitching is a welcomed enhancement as I don’t remember seeing that on Maine Guide boots from seasons past.
