Earlier this week, Jay-Z announced the release of Magna Carta Holy Grail, his 12th solo album. He’s working with Samsung on the release and the tech giant’s already signed on to buy 1 million copies of the albums, with free copies going to users of the Galaxy SIII, S4, and Note II on July 4th, ahead of its official July 7th release date. Billboard’s confirmed these freebies won’t count towards Billboard’s Top 200 tallies. Nonetheless, the album’s expected to sell nearly half-a-million copies and Hov’s banking on it all.
