There was a ton of conversation around Sir Paul Smith’s Fall 2014 presentation in Paris as the designer took inspiration from the Jim Morrison era, giving a new interpretation of key garments with a measured but eccentric taste. Coats and jackets in intricate Moroccan-inspired woven motifs stood out here as did funnel-necked shirts, skinny black leather pants and oversized short-sleeved tunics.
Smith pays further homage to rock with a series of items emblazoned with music notes. Included in the mix is a fuzzy dark blue sweater with a single burgundy note on the chest as well as a broad-shouldered coat that featured a pattern of smaller red notes on a black background.
